Before there was "RENT" Review by: mr_joe, Sep 12, 2006 |
Before there was "RENT" there was "La Boheme" My wife had only watched opera on PBS television until we used a discount offer for La Boheme to attend the City Opera. We purposely chose La Boheme, first because we love it, and second because as opera beginners, we felt it would be a better place to start rather than some Wagnerian event. The City Opera did not disappoint. The performance was magnificent and it was truly a special night out. ... read more Sung in Italian (there are "supertitles" if you chose to read them) La Boheme is truly a timeless work that wll live forever and do well in any opera company that is worth it's salt. As for the City Opera in New York City - BRAVO! |
