A play for people of a "certain age" that we totally enjoyed. That certain age would be anyone who has adult children and is close to or thinking about retirement. This delightful comedy touched on most of the issues we face- adult children who can't make it, retirement, financial loses, drinking a bit too much, adultery, and sadly, illness and death.
A great cast. |

| The play is written, directed and acted well enough and it does have its entertaining moments. But while it succeeds in displaying the shallowness and one-dimensionality of all six characters portrayed and telegraphing its platitudinous message that love, marital fidelity, friendship, health and life itself are more important than material goods, this is not a deep play and it achieves its goals only by lapsing into the very shallowness and ... read more one-dimensionality of the characters in the play itself. |
