Someone need to tells ( forgive me but why not the director ) that the parts the girl played were so over acted and over the top for my group of four made those scenes unwatchable!! She really ruined the Passover scene which would have been poignant and profound without her aburd facial and body machinations. The other actors were fine, and most of the humor very funny. Sitting in the second row, in a seat that was harder than a ... read more cement bench made for a very uncomfortable evening. Directors note: Tone down the girl-let's get intelligent!!! |

Jewtopia is a shame Review by: Roni, Jun 19, 2010 |
| Jewtopia is a shame. Do even think about going - save your time and money. It's a degrading, humiliating, disgasting play. |

Disgusting! Review by: bronya, Apr 26, 2007 |
| I saw this show and most of the time could not believe people around me were laughing. I am a Jew and like Jewish humor, but this was so offensive and low class that I was totally disgusted. |

Uproariously Funny from Beginning to End! Review by: Shiksa M, Apr 22, 2007 |
| I watched this show with my boyfriend who's Jewish; from beginning to end we could NOT stop laughing. Simply hilarious! He loved it and wanted to take his kids to watch this show (if this show goes on come summer vacation). He said he's sure his daughters would enjoy watching the show. Hope you will give others a chance to watch Jewtopia by extending its run. ;-) |

hysterical Review by: , Feb 2, 2007 |
I highly recommend this show. All the taboo, do's and don'ts are covered for true belly laughs! Saw it 2X! Enjoyed it much more than "Mothers Italian, Fathers Jewish", etc. |

If You Have Any Sense, You'll Spend Your Money Elsewhere! Review by: Carol, Dec 15, 2006 |
| This show is an equal opportunity offender of all races and religions. I was very annoyed at it. A Jew Grows in Brooklyn was charming and Judy Gold's one-woman show was funny and insightful unlike this mess. |

Dullsville Review by: tanya, Oct 17, 2006 |
| As a Jewish person, I love Jewish stereotypes as much as the next person, but that's not why this play just wasn't funny. Stiff acting and totally unfunny situations marred it. Don't bother; go see Judy Gold instead. |

Jewtopia was nothing but cheap junior high laughs. Review by: Shelley, Aug 28, 2006 |
I was really disappointed in this play. I am not dissapointed because it was so politically incorrect, but because most of the jokes were just cheap laughs. Instead of sticking with cleverly written jokes like "10 things a Jew will not do!",(that was truely funny) most of the play they handed out junior-highish jokes about their penises and getting laid. They were the kind of jokes my 12 year old would have written. Not only were the ... read more jokes not up to off Broadway par, but neither was the acting. They main characters seemed uncomfortable on stage and their comic timing was very off.
Overall, this play was one big giant let-down. |

| Jewtopia is an afternoon of laughs!! My 16 yr old daughter enjoyed it as much as her dad and I did. It's the type of show where you can find a little bit of your family in the characters (whether or not you want to admit it!).....Highly recommended!!! |

Jewtopia Review by: John, Jul 14, 2006 |
| I loved the show, the acting was superb. I have seen many Broadway shows and this is my first Off-Broadway show that I've attended. Not any actor can play the roles in Jewtopia. They picked the perfect actors for the roles and I enjoyed the show greatly and I highly recommend it. |

the best spent two hours: best comedy I've seen it years Review by: milacik21, May 26, 2006 |
| I found myself alone in the city and decided to check out what Broadway has to offer. Being by myself I did not feel like watching anything too dramatic. The man standing outside of the TKTS booth when asked what was the best comedy recommended this. He warned that it was not politically correct. Well I cannot thank him enough. I had so much fun like I have not had in years. In fact I cannot even remember what was the last comedy I've seen ... read more (movies or otherwise) that has made me laugh so hard. If you are very PC, this play is not for you, but if you can get over that and love humor you will love this. I was laughing out loud. The usual boy meets boy, boys look for girls online and in clubs, boy meets the family, all set in a Jewish setting (it could have been anything though: Italian, Catholic) - it's hard to describe - you really HAVE TO see it. |

| Two of my friends and I did not find this show at all funny. We felt it was poorly written & encouraged Ant-semetism. I would NOT recommend this show to anyone! |
