Walked Out Review by: Disappointed, Apr 26, 2010 |
| I can't write a review about the whole show because we only stayed for 25 minutes of it. In 10 minutes, eight "F-bombs" flew out of the actors' mouths. We were astonished that no other reviews had mentioned that. All the reviews that we had read prior to the show told us how great the show was,and so we were really disappointed when we went to see it. Two other couples walked out after we did. It was extremely offensive to us and we ... read more hope that this review will be useful to someone else who wants to go see a wholesome, clean, show with or without kids. |

| We were up in NYC for the weekend and saw Jersey Boys because our 13 year old really wanted to see it. After the show, we thanked our son for choosing the show because it was absolutely spectacular! We were speechless! Cory Grant was SO amazing! He did such a fantastic job and we would love to see the show and him again! |

Best show ever! Great cast and music! Review by: , Mar 27, 2010 |
| My husband & 2 teen sons and I went to this show on 03/24/10 and thoroughly enjoyed it! The entire cast was unbelievable! Great story told in 4 different perspectives and yes there was colorful language but nothing that my kids had not heard on their schoolbus and considering the story actually fit. We have been humming the great tunes ever since and my boys now have a new interest in Frankie Valli/4 Seasons and not just what ... read more they are hearing currently on the radio! I cannot rate this show high enough! Excellent all the way! |

BEST SHOW EVER! Review by: DMS FROM NH, ,NY, Mar 6, 2010 |
| I took my 20 yr old daughter to the show. I wasn't sure if she would like it, since Frankie Valli was before her times. She loved it. The music was great and acting was phenomenal. I would love to see it again. |

Best Muscial Ever Review by: djfor19, Dec 31, 2009 |
| I have now seen this show in three cities. It doesn't matter if it is Chicago, Broadway or the Touring Company. Each group is terrific and the music will blow you away. This show still sells out every night in New York after three years and has the potential to become the longest running musical in Broadway history. If you haven't seen it - make sure that you do. |

Awesome experience Review by: Eastwood, Oct 22, 2009 |
I absolutely am glad I finally plunked down the $$$ for Jersey Boys. This was, without a doubt, one of the (if not The) greatest experiences of my life. I'm still smiling about it (saw it yesterday at Bank of America Theater in Chicago, pretty good seats on the floor). Though the crowd was a bit subdued (an older matinee crowd), it was still a heckuva time. The dialogue was not a problem (the random swears). Shoot, I imagine it was ... read more MUCH worse in real NJ-time. Lastly, when they rattled off the three-in-a-row (trying to keep this in code :), I swear it may have been even greater than the Lakers winning the championship last year. |

Best of the 5 Review by: Gerry, Sep 16, 2009 |
Of course it helps that I knew every word to every song (my era) but the production was crisp & well paced & the music found your bones. We saw 5 shows and the lineup was the best first: 1. Jersey Boys, 2. Steady Rain, 3. South Pacific, 4. Next to Normal, 5. Mama Mia. |

Jersey Boys Has Heart!!! We saw Jersey Boys twice this summer and loved it. The cast was excellent, the music was excellent, and the audience response was amazing...everyone left the theater singing and smiling!!! The cast members put so much heart into their performance and you leave there feeling that they truly wanted you to love it as much as they do. Jarrod Spector, who played Frankie Valli, has an amazing ... read more voice and sounded a lot like the real thing!!! Talk about heart,he did a fantastic job of bringing audience members into the story and that's why people are coming back a second and third time. We loved Jersey Boys and we want to thank them for the gift of sharing two terrific evenings with us.

Who Loves you?? I do!! Review by: Natalie, Sep 7, 2009 |
I saw Jersey Boys on Broadway just a few days ago and I can’t stop thinking about it. It was absolutely the most moving, entertaining, fantastic show I’ve ever seen! It was not only a great broadway show but a great concert as well! I was literally moved to tears! Jarrod Spector is phenomenal as Frankie Valli. Walking into the show I knew nothing about Frankie Vallie and The Four Seasons and I left as a huge fan! I will see this show ... read more time and time again!!!

Oh what a night!!! Review by: Adrix, Aug 10, 2009 |
I know my title is over rated, but the cherry on the cake to my trip to New York was going to see Jersey Boys. I'm a 32 years old woman who didn't grow at all with their music, but I happened to know a lot about them and to like the seasons' music because of my parents and uncles who grew with them. I don't have access to a lot of musicals but for me everything was perfect...the cast, the show, the music, even my cheaper seats..... read more..i could see every single detail in the August Wilson Theater. I hope i can see it one more time in a near future...in the meantime i will be singing over and over again and having great memories from my summer in the Big Apple. |

Glad we had the eyes to see it Review by: bbb, Jul 28, 2009 |
Glad we had the eyes to see it and the ears to enjoy the music. Didn't think we would. After all, the Four Seasons were the musical generation after ours -- i.e., Sinatra, the bands, etc. The only thing we could identify them with was the DeNiro-Walken-et al singing "You're Just Too Good to Be True" in the western Pa. bar in the movie, "The Deer Hunter" -- the best part of that film. The Four Seasons had their own sound and catchy tunes. ... read more We'd recommend it to everyone except the youngest kids (between 1 and 5). As for the cussing, heck, this is Jersey we're talking about, not Shakespeare (although he was known to toss in an occasional naughty word). Gotta expect dem woids with anything Jersey, so I can't understand anyone being shocked. However, didn't know about Frankie Valli's tribulations, his code of ethics, the tragedy of his daughter. Poignant. For those who want more after the show (and most will), there's a CD for sale. And for that closer encounter, stick around the stage door afterwards. Many of the cast members will join the stage-door johnnies and janes seeking feedback, while providing autographs and photo ops. Go, remember, enjoy! Baby boomers with fond memories should keep "Jersey Boys" going for at least another five years. Hope so (make it 10), because we plan to see this show several more times now that we discovered it. |

Just Okay For Me Review by: lisa, Jul 16, 2009 |
| What made my day in NYC was seeing Paul McCartney on the top of Ed Sullivan Theater over Jersey Boys. The reviews speak for themselves but I wasn't as entertained by the show as the majority. Did I think it was bad? no. I definitly think it is for an older crowd. The music was good... but we had obstructed view and missed everything going on on the higher set. The music was good. We had an understudy for Frankie Valli and he wasn't bad but ... read more wasn't great. I honestly think part of my reason for not loving it was my seat. I also really didn't follow the story, and I couldn't hear a lot of what they said. However, the 2 other people I went with who are older than me said it was a really good show, but not great. So atleast they liked it! |
