I wrote a review about 6 months ago saying the same thing, do your homework before you spend your money . Go to Bway Box, ask around and get peoples views. Not your" G" taste, find out before what it is about, you alone are to blame. Loved Jersey Boys and plan to see it again. Don't worry about the kid he most likely had a blast.

The Four Seasons are far enough into history that they may seem quaint and squeaky clean in many fading memories. But the Broadway show captures the darker side of a group formed by a jailbird.
The profanity alone is enough to turn one's stomach, and my wife and I were disappointed to see one family who brought their 10-year-old (?). I wonder what she thought of the scene with the three prostitutes?
The cast is marvelously talented (they ... read more sing better than the originals) but the dialog is lame. With F-bombs falling in a steady stream, my wife and I would have run from the theater (Isaiah 52:11) if we hadn't been with a large group. I talked to others afterwards who were offended by the language.
Get the music soundtrack, but avoid the script and show. |

| Sure it helps if you are a fan of the music of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, but, there is also a story beyond the music. Some folks may be offended by some of the "colorful" language used, but, then again this show isn't aimed for the under 14 crowd. Highly recommended and it is a show you can see more than once -- it's THAT good! |

| Saw the show for the second time this past Saturday. Different actors than when I saw it a few weeks ago...oh yes I thoroughly enjoyed both shows...once with my wife, the second time with my 21 year old son. He is a music buff and enjoys learning about the history of bands and different music genres. He also loved the production and the actors. | Ok, I think I'm in the wrong show because everyone was clapping their hands and tapping their feets and singing along. Applause erupted even before the song started for some of the more popular hits. It's obvious most of the audience are fans of The Four Seasons. The Four what? It could be because I'm not a fan, but I didn't really see the point of the show. This basically tells the origin of the group and how they became who they are ... read more with some obstacles along the way, but I found the story to be razor thin at best and it's quite obvious this show exists only to please fans and so most of the show consist of the full renditions of their songs. Now I'm all for that because this is a musical after all, but I feel the music should accompany the acting to tell a story - that is what a musical is, no? But here, most of the singing is just the group singing in front of the audience as if they are performing as The Four Seasons. Cover band, anyone? At these prices, a very expensive cover band. |

| Jersey Boys is by far the greatest show I have ever seen and I have seen almost everything on broadway and off. I have seen it numerous(70+) times and never grow tired of it. I feel like it is the first time I am seeing it every time I go. Jarrod Spector and Dominic Nolfi are amazingly talented performers. Go see it. You will have an amazing night!!! |

| I saw this show in May this year and was very apprehensive about taking my son and his financee because they are only in their 20's. I needn't have worried. The show was spellbinding. The cast fantastic;so polished and professional. Franki Valli could not fail to be impressed at the success of this whole production. They were given a standing ovation and it was so well deserved.A magnificant show. The best I have ever seen. |

| I was disappointed in the production. Perhaps all the hype about the show was too much. The book was ragged and scenery a joke with an occasional neon sign. Singing was fine, but I thought the actors were a bit tired of saying the same thing over and over again. Act two was dull and without much drama. The seating in the old theater was very uncomfortable and made watching difficult. Perhaps the Las Vegas production is better. |

| Saw this show a few years back. Honestly was a bit disapppointed after all the hype. Don't get me wrong the actors were good and the music great, but the scenery was a joke ( yeah....I get it....but nonetheless )Story as I said had more of a VH1 feel than that of a Broadway show. I do recommend you see the show for what it is...a great tribute to the Four Seasons and their music....but that's about it. |

| This show is AWESOME!!!! I am 14 years old and I have seen this show 3 times if that helps. However, I wouldn't recommend it to kids under the age of 11. I saw it when I was 11, and i was really confused. The music is fabulous!!!!! I did not know the music at all when I first saw it, but I fell in love with it instantly. The cast is great, and I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this show to anyone who wants a good time at the theater!... read more! But don't bring young kids. |

Saw Jersey Boys last night. It’s a documentary style tale of how Frankie Vali and the 4 Seasons began and ended. Whether you know the music or not, it is still quite enjoyable.
Yes, foul language is sprinkled liberally throughout, but it adds a sense of realism to the guys and their environment. For this reason I really would not recommend taking a child--Mamma Mia would be a better choice.
I have seen Frankie Vali in concert before ... read more because I enjoy his music; the play inspired me to read more about him. It’s a great story; well acted and immensely fun.
I‘m 38 years old if that helps.

| I loved the show! Very different from other musicals. It told the story by having each group take a section of time. They were parts that were very funny, and some parts that were sad. After all these years, you can tell the cast still loves doing it. They don't seem bored. The music is great, and they have great voices! There is a lot of profanity (these are Jersey boys after all) It didn't bother me, but it might catch others off guard.... read more. I highly recommend this one. Tickets are rarely available at a discount, but it is worth the price! |
