I loved it. I am from the deep south and when the tap dancing KKK took the stage well..I loved it. I know it is controversial but true theatre should be. It should make you think, laugh or whatever but it should never be dull!
No one makes you buy a ticket and no one stops you from leaving if you are offended. Adults only! |

| I saw the show twice in London and I love it, though I found the second act premise a bit disturbing. The score is amazing and yes, as the previous review stated the adult content is beyond titilating and often immature but consider the source ... The "Jerry Springer Show" is probably the biggest embarrassment to this country in the eyes of those living abroad. They're glued to the TV set when the program parades the Ku Klux Klan members,... read more, pre-operative transexuals, incestuous relationships and other displays that are not considered the norm, as it shows a side of America that makes them feel superior. You have to admit that it's the perfect setting for a Broadway musical. I predict that "Jerry Spinger, the Opera" and another British import, "Billy Elliot" will both be huge hits on this side of the Atlantic. |

We saw this show in London- Simply amazing how poor it is- filled with bathroom humor and immature jokes- It actually makes the real Jerry Springer look like sophisticated entertainment. There is a GREAT concept here- it really is a great idea- but the song writing is really bad. I mean just bad. bad, bad, bad. really poor. so-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o bad. We actually had to walk through religious groups picketing it- no big deal- but on our way out, I ... read more told them they should be picketing the terrible writing, not the content.
