A work of art passionately expressed through the mouths of babes. Review by: , Apr 1, 2012 |
| Innocent Flesh is what all great theatre should be. Compelling from start to finish, it will tear your heart out, make you weep with tears of sorrow and joy both, and take you on an unforgettable, thought-provoking ride of such intensity that I promise you, you will walk out a changed person just from being so touched by the humanity of this play. Performances are luminous, guided by sensitive direction and exquisitely poetic writing. You owe ... read more it to yourself and to your allegiance to the human race to see this unforgettable work. |

Innocent Flesh Mesmerizing Review by: Emanuel Sylvano, Mar 29, 2012 |
The play is definitely sound because it holds current real world atrocities that we just choose to ignore. It moved me in a way that I was brought back to reality and made me actually feel pain because I know that somewhere some girl is going through this and they can't escape their troubles. It's a show you want to see Because it reminds you of "daily" reality. Emanuel Sylvano, Actor

This must-see play will touch your heart! Review by: J Negahban, Mar 26, 2012 |
| Innocent Flesh is a hauntingly realistic look at teen prostitution. Deftly written and with solid performances, the audience is drawn into this heart wrenching story. Most disturbing are the clever, occasional reminders that we are witnessing a tale about children. These young ladies and their poignant words will stay with you long after you leave the theatre. |

Moving story, powerful acting Review by: Marina, Mar 26, 2012 |
| A powerful, powerful story. Gives you a glimpse into the inner world of those who go into prostitution, both what might propel them to enter this world and what they face once they find themselves there. The acting was equally powerful and moving. A must see! |

You must see it twice - you WILL !! Review by: julie alter, Mar 26, 2012 |
| I was completely taken with this show. It is in equal parts, sobering, invigorating, and heartbreaking, and it crackles with eye-popping young talent. Blow away evening in the theatre -- J. A. |

This is what theatre should be. Review by: EMcgee, Mar 26, 2012 |

Review by: Zander, Mar 25, 2012 |
I'm glad I didn't see the negative reviews before buying tickets. I found the show to be a moving and often disturbing take on a very difficult subject. While the performances at times seemed to be calibrated for a smaller theater, all the actors were fantastic - especially considering the dual characterizations they portray throughout the production. Jameelah Nuriddin and Clara Gabrielle were standouts, but the whole cast is amazing. I ... read more didn't realize discounted tickets were available when I purchased mine; now that I know, I'll definitely consider seeing it again. |

Needs Work Review by: deedawg, Mar 19, 2012 |
| Not a good production.Poor production values, and I was very disappointed with the acting performances. Not one time did i believe these girls were call girls. This play is not ready for an Off-Broadway run. It needs to be workshopped, and for a hour definitely not worth $59.00. I don't anticipate it running long, as when i went this weekend only 10 people were in the audience. But kudos for getting the show up in midtown. That's a huge ... read more accomplishment, but it need to be re-worked. Good luck. |

Lifeless Flesh Review by: madison, Mar 17, 2012 |
I think the actresses in this production have done the play for too long. They seem bored, lifeless and bland. Only one performance---the 'gang-bang' narrative seems to ignite the performer doing it. The play itself sems a bit cliche---how many times can they say "I just want to be loved". And for a subject that is full of violence, abuse, and hyper-emotional content---the actresses, again, seem distant, neutral and sleepy. As far as ... read more direction, once in a while they come to life with some routine choreograpy---but mostly they just sit and look sad. |

Has Potential Review by: RanaW, Mar 15, 2012 |
| I thought the script was decent. The direction was very little. With some fine tuning it could be better. The actors could not pull off the material. No emotion, just reciting lines and very still. It almost came across as if they were shooting a movie with how intimate the roles were being played. my boyfriend though the same. I read the playbill the show came from LA. I hope it fix its problems because it has potential. ... read more NY critics are not as kind as LA critics. |
