wonderful experience!!!!!!! MUST SEE Review by: newyorker23, Mar 16, 2009 |
| I thoroughly enjoy this play! The use of impressionist paintings to tell the story was simply fantastic! I would recommend to any theater goer to check this play out. The actors are wonderful. No intermission, goes for about an 1:45. SUPERB!!! |

Excellent play Review by: lmvw, Mar 14, 2009 |
| I really enjoyed this play this afternoon. It has been cut by about an hour, and the result is a lovely, charming story. Irons and Allen are great, and the production values really add to the play's strength. |

Good, but needs editing. Review by: Terry, Mar 14, 2009 |
I enjoyed the show in parts, thought it was a bit long at an intermissionless 1-3/4 hours, needs a bit of editing. The use of artwork was interesting, I liked the performances, did have a hard time hearing Jeremy Irons at the beginning but then it was ok, the supporting cast was also very good, just needs a bit of cutting. Joan Allen was terrific, as was Andre DeShields.

Worth seeing! (Joan rocks!) Review by: casey24, Mar 10, 2009 |
| Joan Allen SHINES in this sweet story about finding love later in life. She is luminous in every way - and extraordinarily funny too. A joy to watch. Jeremy Irons is handsome and fitting for the male lead....but he should step it up a notch. He is a bit tired throughout. The supporting cast is great, especially Andre de Shields. The story is clever and meaningful - and the set is well crafted, using Impressionist paintings and ... read more dropping them in and out of the set in such a creative way. All in all, this is a play to see -- especially if you're a Joan Allen fan! |

Actors are Great! Review by: Susan, Mar 3, 2009 |
| Great show, we really enjoyed it. Joan Allen was amazing - it was a joy to see her back on Broadway! Jeremy Irons was great, and the supporting cast is fantastic. It was exciting to see a new play that was actually entertaining. |

Review by: MarkH, Mar 3, 2009 |
| What can I say, there is nothing better than Jeremy Irons and Joan Allen in a love story. Jack Obrian the director, who as done it three times in the Tony award is on the way to doing it again. The last scene is surprisingly touching, and many in the theater were in tears. |

Surprisingly, Jeremy Irons was the weak link. Joan Allen was marvelous and Andre de Shields a ray of sunshine. Irons was hard to hear and understand, generally lackluster. Act II was better than a rough-starting Act I. Ending was a bit sappy. Best parts were in "living" through the pictures. |
