I was expecting a lot more after reading reviews on this show. It reminded me of a good high school play. The set was spare, the story was so-so, and it was too long. The cast was talented, but there was no chemistry between the leads, or the co-stars. There were a few humorous lines, but we didn't crack up like we were hoping to do.

Very lighthearted show with great music and great acting and singing. The story isn't that original but the songs really touch chords with people from all backgrounds and relationship experience. Thought the actors did a great job too!

This was incredible. I didnt know anything about it going in. What a delight from start to finish. The music is wonderful, hummable with clever lyrics and a sweet, touching story about dating in New York. The best thing about this charming show is that it never tries to hard to be anything other than what it is... sweet, funny and tuneful. The cast is impeccable. Farah Alvin sings like a bird, Colin Hanlon is funny and sweet with a ... read more lovely voice. David Austin is hysterical and so real/touching just when you least expect it. The two New York people Courtney Ballin and Jordan Leads are just as good as the other folks in the show... so funny. GO SEE THIS SHOW!!!

Not bad at all. Especially for an off-broadway show. Great acting and singing. Story is the same as any other romance type play, but the whole show was very entertaining.

What a cute show. The story is a common theme but the lines and the flow of the story keep you laughing throughout the night. All the characters have a terrific and natural delivery that makes you forget the're acting. The songs are memorable for their funny lyrics and catchy music. Every one of them has a great voice. Diana's song of love by the numbers is hysterical. The show moves quickly without any slow spots. This was a great ... read more evenings entertainment and I'm looking forward to getting a disk of the soundtrack.

I Love You Because is an amazing show. The music is not typical musical theatre, but modern and very accessible. Some might interpret the storyline to be a little cliche, but the characters a so genuine that it brings the show to life. They did a wonderful job choosing the cast- Stephanie D'Abruzzo is amazing, and the best of Colin Hanlon (and his voice!) is brought out in his character and the music. Farah Alvin also has wonderful talnet, her ... read more voice will definetly leave a strong impression on you. Even though this is David A. Austin's first New York show, he is charming, funny and so real. I recommend everyone, young and old to see the show!! I can't wait for the cast recording.
