High Fidelity Review by: Charles, Jan 7, 2007 |
| High Fidelity was witty film but High Fidelity on broadway is that much better. Its music is the best music that i have heard in a while and its to bad that it is not on itunes yet. i think that the acting is great as well and the story is good. |

Save your money and skip this one Review by: Michael V, Dec 12, 2006 |
As many of the reviews have noted, Will Chases was a standout...the lone standout in this production. Unfortunately, his performance isn't enough to make this show great...or even good for that matter. The lyrics appeared to be written by a five year old with a rhyming dictionary...b-o-r-i-n-g!
The set was cool, but if you are going to a play to see a set...go see a museum instead. You won't miss the multiple lack luster numbers and stale ... read more performances...
I did see this "pre-opening"...so maybe the entire show will be fixed before it opens...if it opens |

Fabulous show, fabulous actors, FABULOUS TIME!! Review by: Callie, Dec 11, 2006 |
| "High Fidelity" is absolutely incredible. I can't just pick one thing I liked about it. Every song, every performer, every set... You can't help but walk out of the theatre singing along and wondering how the heck they got so much talent on one stage! |

Well the set was outstanding Review by: RickyZ, Dec 9, 2006 |
Saw this show at one of the last previews. The set was great! The acting was OK. The music was blah and unmemorable. Some clever lyrics. On the whole, a very disappointing experience. Another nail in the coffin of the once great American musical theatre. |

Great fun -- a wonderful evening out. Review by: Molly, Dec 9, 2006 |
| I saw this show with my sisters, my husband, and our teen-aged kids last night, and we all had a great time. It was fun and upbeat, and the cast was very good. The whole audience was laughing and clapping along, and there was a standing ovation at the end. I enjoyed all the musical references, and the Bruce Springsteen number was great fun. The set is amazing, too. |

The Death Of Music Theatre Review by: Theatre Fan, Dec 8, 2006 |
| Welcome to the death of musical theatre. This show, thought better than it's rock counterpart Wedding Singer, was another mindless attempt to rob ny tourists of their har earned vacation money. The music is poorly constructed, lyrics were trite, the story was a blatant rip-off of a wonderful film and the relationships were insufficiently developed. Seriously, if this is the type of entertainment you're looking for, go see a movie. On a ... read more positive note, there were good performances. Will Chase, as always, is stellar. Jen Colella is strong and funny. Goodbye music theatre... We'll all miss you! |

An Art Geek with a Grudge Review by: Becklerboy, Dec 8, 2006 |
| What is play? Is it not fun? I believe High Fidelity was one of the wittiest and fun musicals I have ever seen. I think the New York Times has seemed to have lost that mentality long ago. True, this is not a thick plot, but when has simplicity and pun taken a back seat to arduous mind numbing story? The journalist who wrote the review was merely an art geek with a grudge. I can see him now marching around his posh ... read more downtown penthouse apartment like an ape in chains. I recommend seeing High Fidelity – well… if nothing else, to tell the critics to get a grip. |

High Praise for High Fidelity Review by: ddel, Dec 7, 2006 |
| I caught the show in its Boston tryout and loved it. It was an entertaining show filled with catchy songs you will be humming for days after. I cannot wait til they release a cast album. My girlfriend and I enjoyed it so much we're coming to see it again on Broadway in January! If you are a fan of Rent, Avenue Q, or just plain enjoy good songs with clever lyrics, this is the show for you. |

High Fidelity is light and fun Review by: richieb, Dec 5, 2006 |
| This show was a ton of fun. Kind of show you could see over and over again. I saw with my college-age kids who loved it and I plan to go back with my wife. The male characters especially were fun and the "Ian" character was a hoot. Not a heavy musical but just plain fun and light. Lots of laughs too. |

I can't wait to take my teenagers. Review by: Fluffy, Dec 2, 2006 |
| It is a delightful show, with great songs and a talented cast. Liking rock music will help. There is a bit of recent nostalgia intertwined, with references to singing groups of the recent decades. The story is simple, but you leave feeling satisfied. |

SEE THIS ENTERTAININGLY & FUNNY SHOW Review by: , Dec 1, 2006 |
| I TRULY ENJOYED THIS SHOW. IT WAS FUN AND FUNNY AND QUITE ENTERTAINING. DONT GO IF YOU DONT APPROVE OF RAUNCHY LANGUAGE BUT RUN THERE IS YOU ENJOY A LIGHTHEARTED, ADORABLE MUSICAL ABOUT A BUNCH OF MISFITS TRYING TO FIND HAPPINESS IN THEIR OWN LITTLE WORLDS. THE SET CHANGES WERE AMAZINGLY CLEVER AS WERE MANY OF THE LYRICS. I WOULD RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE I KNOW. |

Hi Fidelity Sinks To New Lows Review by: jerryD, Dec 1, 2006 |
What is there to love about this show? - there is no story and the lead guy, who cares if he gets the girl or not!
This is perhaps the slimmest of stories to be made into a musical - A guys cheats on his girlfriend, she leaves him, and ohhhh the suspense - will he get her back? Give me some real conflict and something with a little intelligence. The music was forgettable and all the chracters were underdeveloped - and why give the ... read more final song to a supporting character - totally steals focus from the main story - overall I think it is a big mess! |

Well if you love your musicals to be forgetable, then this one is for you. Review by: bettyjoelle, Nov 27, 2006 |
| Thankfully the tickets were free, so I felt not one ounce of guilt for leaving at intermission. The songs are utterly forgettable and the female lead was just a bad actress. I didn't understand what people were laughing at. The sets were fun, but who goes to see a show just for the set? |

A Must See Review by: gypsy, Nov 26, 2006 |
| I cannot wait to see this show again!..It was pure entertainment..All of the performers were terrific..The music and lyrics were both funny and touching..It was so nice to laugh and not have to think about about some deep message..Why do some people have to put down and criticize a show because they don't get it?..The sets, in my opinion and most of the people around me, are award-winning..If you just want to be entertained and see a great ... read more cast of characters, don't miss High Fidelity!!!..I hope it is around for a long time. |
