Quality and Craftmanship Throughout Review by: No Critic, Jan 24, 2011 |
| My wife and I went Saturday night to a full house. We regularly go to the Second Stage Theatre because of the quality of the acting and the intimate setting. GPI proved to be no exception. The acting was superb. The story was cleverly designed and intriguing. The set was simple and also clever and contributed in a subliminal way to the story. Combining all three elements (acting, story and set) the show proved ... read more riveting and quite intense overall with some humorous lines caused by situational dialogue. If you want to see and appreciate two very skilled actors giving a very interesting and realistic performance you will not be disappointed. |

Unique, odd and enjoyable Review by: Scott_NYC, Jan 24, 2011 |
| This is a unique and odd play that I really enjoyed. It's a bit of a demented love story between two misfits. The performances by Pablo Schreiber and Jennifer Carpenter are terrific. The ending left me wanting to know more. The set design is amazing. I want to see it again in the on stage seats. |

Fantastic actors Review by: Magnus, Jan 21, 2011 |
Me and my seventeen year old soon went to this play - atually the first time we watched a play in NYC - and I must say we really enjoyed it. Good: 2nd Stage Theater is a cool place. The stage setup is great. The actors are just fantastic. Interesting story, and it was easy to relate to a lot of the problems the characters went through. Not so good: The play could have been just a little bit longer. Sitting ... read more in the "Playground Seating"-section it was sometimes hard to hear what the characters said, when they faced the "regular audience"-section (but of course it probably was the same way for them sometimes). Wish we could see it again, but unfortunately we're now back home in Sweden... |
