Great songs - don't miss this one! Review by: Shiva, Oct 10, 2007 |
| These songwriters have a lot of talent. When you hear the songs (especially "Ordinary People" and "Life is Good") you will find yourself surprised that no one has bought the rights and recorded them. Anya Turner's deep voice balances power and grace. Robert Grusecki's skills at the piano shine. Definitely worth seeing this one to experience the magic of their songs. |

Go see this show Review by: , Oct 9, 2007 |
| This is a lovely show. The previous poster obviously went in expecting to dislike the material. Anya Turner sings like an angel; Robert Grusecki is a wonderful musician. The show is sweet, real and the affection between the two is palpable. |

Music 10 Acting 3 Review by: ohJeezuS, Oct 8, 2007 |
It is undeniable of the true talent of this writing team. The complexity of their musicality matched with clever, insightful lyrics make it an enjoyable evening musically. I applaud them for holding on to their dream and making things happen. But there comes a point where you have to let Donna McKechnie and Billy Joel play your parts. Actors should be scrambling to find any sheet music written by this dynamic duo.... read more. It'll impress those you are auditioning for and the pianist playing for you. God bless Baayork Lee for fulfilling the late Great Thommie Walsh's last request before his passing.

Say Goodbye to Greetings Review by: Thommie, Oct 5, 2007 |
Folks, you can miss this one. While the songs are pleasant enough, this kind of self-referential, self congratulatory tripe is the kind of theatre I like least. It lacks imagination. It is without heart. It's phony. The story and conflict are completely contrived. The pianist, while skillful, cannot sing. The singer, who is reasonably attractive, has a pleasant enough voice, but sings without heart. And, she is not a skillful actor. The story,... read more, such as it is, is unconvincing. It's as if the whole premise, the whole production is false. The attempts at "dance" are completely inappropriate. The direction, lackluster at best, is amateurish. I went to the show with my girlfiend, who is a friend of the performers, and had seen the show before. Even she was very disappointed.
There are a lot of terrific shows in the Musical Theatre Festival going on. Your time would be better spend there.
I'm just glad I didn't have to pay for my ticket. |
