| Having just recently seen " Fences", words cannot describe what a theatrical experience it was. Denzel Washington was fantastic and really delivered the performance of the year. Viola Davis was just amazing, her big scene in the second act is what great acting is all about,as one can actually feel her anger and rage at her husbands doings. the rest of the cast was also outstanding.Kudos to everyone involved in bringing a true American classic to ... read more life. |

| What a beautiful treatment of an exquisite play. Denzel Washington and Viola Davis, and the entire cast, are perfect. The Tonys awarded to this production were well-earned. If it is possible to get a ticket, go. A theater experience like this is rare. Even the noisy audience could not spoil it. |

| OMG, I am a Denzel Washington fan to the Nth degree, but my appreciation for his craft was taken to a higher level when I saw him in Fences. It was just so wonderful...a must see. The entire cast was just great! Oh how I love the theatre! |

| This is definitely a vehicle for Denzel Washington. He really comes across as Troy. However, as good as he is, Viola Davis is even better as his wife Rose. The supporting cast are all very good too in this classic American drama set in the 1930's Pittsburgh.
