A unique peek into the dynamics of the relationship between two songwriters.
The script and dialogues were amazing.
The songs were great, as both of the actors have really special voices. The play was a combination of romantic moments that were at times serious though filled with laughter and comedy. Actors were so great that at times it even felt as if I was sitting in their living room; it seemed so real and genuine.

| I found pretty much nothing saving about this play, except for the set. Although I found both performers okay, they pretty much played two hours of same (down) mood. Not much variation on the uninteresting dialogue. The music had nothing to offer. It all felt as if someone might have written it while stoned. Kind of bad sixties folk music. Saw a preview performance last night - touted as a musical but not really, although both actors do sing & play guitar and do so quite well....more of a drama with music.
Some of the dialogue a bit inane but I have seen worse - Malik is hot, for sure! |
