Everyday Rapture--what a disgrace! Review by: Subscriber, Jun 25, 2010 |
Sheri Rene Scott is a very talented performer, however she should be more discriminating when deciding upon a show to perform in. Everyday Rapture was offensive to many groups, was boring as anything, was not at all entertaining (after 10-20 minutes I was waiting for the actual show to start or end the pain and boredom by allowing us to leave). The entire show seemed to be built on copying others--from Bette Midler's acts (and the copy doesn't ... read more even come close) to Judy Garland and Mr. Rogers. The 15 year old u-tube actor was the only bright spot and even that went on too long. Perhaps this show might work off-off Broadway, but it is an absolute insult to the NYC Broadway audience. I am amazed that the various religious groups have not raised their voices and pointed out the total lack of sensitivity blatantly displayed in this show. Touching upon many religious groups does not excuse the offensiveness of this show. How did it ever get a Tony nomination???? It makes one wonder about the criteria of being nominated. |

Terribly Weak- annoying cast. Review by: GothProf, Jun 13, 2010 |
One of the weakest B'way shows I've seen in years. Annoyingly cloy and too focused on cute, this show quickly became annoying. REALLY really terrible. This would be okay for $20.00 in a downtown club. But NOT for 75.00. Save your money- Save yourself. |

Forget it! Review by: Carol, Jun 1, 2010 |
| Sherie Renee Scott is a Mennonite-light who is inspired by a Jew, or so she proclaims. This essentially one-woman show is a compilation of her life-- a new phenomenon with stage substituting for psychiatrist's couch. The best part of the show is the kid who lip synchs to one of her songs. |

A MUSICAL SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE! Review by: BigKen, May 21, 2010 |
| This show was creative, funny, and entertaining. It had magic, music, and comedy. Great singing with a terrific back up band. The Judy Garland/Jesus Christ number stole the show! It was a good night out on Broadway for me! |

Broadway?? Review by: hen, May 10, 2010 |
| Disappointing for a Bway production. More like a cabaret of off-broadway show. Lots of talents, but slow at points and only mildly entertaining. |

Everyday Capture Review by: LD, May 8, 2010 |
If you have ever felt the electricity in the air when standing on a street in Manhattan you know its magic, and Sherrie Rene Scott has captured that electricity and put it on the stage. Ms. Scott tells the tale of a Kansas girl coming to Broadway and never quite making it, yet, for sure, Ms. Scott has made it. She is a gifted performer and singer and long before the 90 minutes are up, she will have captured your heart as well. I ... read more have not been this moved in a long time.

HUGE HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT NOT A BROADWAY SHOW Review by: StoooieG, Apr 26, 2010 |
| As a lover of the theatre, drama, comedy and musical I could'nt wait to see this production as I love Sherrie Renee Scott, a truly talented wonderful musical performer, but I must admit that seeing the show this past Sunday evening, the theatre was obviously full of "theatre people" who were not working that evening because some of the laughs which are truly not funny were making people roll in the aisles, the tribute if you wanna ... read more call it that to Jesus and Judy Garland was offensive and absolutely without class and tact as was the comment about Jewish People. The music was unlistenable the lyrics silly trite and at times unable to hear clearly make this show an off broadway show possibly, but if this is what broadway has come to, NASAR we got a big problem. Trite, boring and silly./ Sherrie, I love you but very very disappointed. Not up to broadway standards at all SAVE YOUR MONEY |

Loved, loved, LOVED it - a MUST SEE Review by: BroadwayBabySawIt, Apr 22, 2010 |
| Terrific show - a real surprise. We had not heard about this show when it ran last year, but we were delighted to have a chance to see it at the American Airlines theater, which is a very comfortable, roomy theater. We loved the story, Sheree's singing, and her tribute to Judy Garland. And her song to worship Jesus is one of the best things on Broadway right now - funny and respectful at the same time. We just loved this show, which is partly ... read more about the dream of getting to NY from Topeka, partly about being in show business, and partly about the joy of being alive. Dont miss this show Review by: rskblueyes, Jun 8, 2009 |
I saw the show on 06/05. It was a delight to sit through. Sherrie Rene Scott performance and delivery made youlaugh and cry, and sometimes both at the same time. The show is performed without an intermission, but goes very fast. Although most of the show is only Sherrie, she does have a backup group and a young performer in some on the numbers. I recommend this to all that want a good laugh and see an off broadway show that stars a ... read more dynamic broadway performer |

Everyday Rapture- LAUGH OUT LOUD...good time!!!! Review by: judy garland, May 3, 2009 |
What a wonderful evening at the Theatre. I was hesitant to see a one women show for various reasons...but was pleasantly suprided to find a cast of 4 peole who were hard to keep my eyes off of. the audince was howling and its been a long time since Ive heard that kind of reponse from a audience. Ms. Scott is a comedic genius and she has created a truthful, heartfelt, laugh out loud, musical journey with songs that everyone will recognize!!!!... read more! Director also did Sprink Awakening and the co write did Millie on Broadway. Creavtive Team is AWESOME!! Its a MUST SEE! |
