Simple with lovely language Review by: meg, Feb 27, 2011 |
| My sister and I saw this production last Saturday evening and truly loved it! It was simple and beautiful with lovely language. It was truly a night at the theater. Like a wonderful massage that you know will soon end, you begin to worry it will be over much too soon! James Earl Jones and Vanessa Redgrave are equally strong and the third member of the cast stands strong amidst such actor royalty! |

Stay home and rent the movie!! Review by: LovesGreatTheater, Jan 5, 2011 |
| Awful....simply awful. Not even in the same league as the movie. I fell asleep. And so short. I thought it was the first act and it was over. I guess JEJ and VR can't make it for more than 1:15. Acting was good, but script terrible. The passage of time totally non-credible. None of the pathos of the movie. Stay away and save your money. |

great performances, even though james earl jones is a tad over age for playing the part - the only complaint was it was hard to believe there had been a passing of time which was achievable in the movie amazing performances and highly recommended! |

ACTING AT IT'S BEST Review by: Heather, Nov 2, 2010 |
| A joy to see such superb acting from Vanessa Redgrave and James Earl Jones. Just wish the staging had been better, i.e., a real vintage car rather than a steering wheel on a bench! |

BEST show on Broadway or in NYC (currently) Review by: mdbennett7, Oct 21, 2010 |
| A brilliant show, to see James Earl Jones and Vanessa Redgrave on stage is an honor. Two of our greatest actors together in a great production. Using there owns voices and not aided by body mics was an added pleasure. Everything about this show was GREAT! I purchased tickets the following days to see it again and to bring my parents. |

My personal opinion....a waste of money Review by: Susie, Oct 16, 2010 |
Just saw this in previews. Spent a lot of money and fell asleep. People were laughing....my sister and I didn't get it. I've gone to many, many broadway shows ( musicals)and even the worst ones were better than this. We could not understand the dialogue at all. Very muffled. I felt really bad because she took me for my b-day and I picked it thinking it would be great. Very, very disappointed. They could have done a better car...2 ... read more wooden chairs, a wooden bench and a steering wheel on a stick. |
