I took my children to this liket he entire audiance and was horrified. People were gasping. Of coursse my child immediately was like what is going on with this. I have never been so angry that a show would do this that is geared toward families at christmas. ... read more Absolutely horrific. |

How the Grinch Stole Christmas lived up to it's name: Santa Spoiler!!!! Review by: , Nov 25, 2012 |
I just wanted to write to let anyone who may be heading out to see this show that there are two numbers that "tell the secret" of Santa. One scene is where Cindy Lou Who's family is at the mall, song and dance about how it's not about the gifts, Cindy finds a red rocking horse. Momma Who says to ask "Santa". Cindy leaves & momma runs over and pays for the rocking horse. Next scene: The Who home. Kids are in bed. Parents and ... read more grandparents are setting out all the purchased gifts and scolding grandpa Who for being too noisy as he may wake the children. My 8 year old daughter immediately turned to me and said, "So all the presents under the tree are really from you?" I struggled to find a response, since I knew this would probably be the last Christmas that I would see that magic in her eyes, so I asked her what she thought. She said, "yes" While she didn't seem overly upset, I was dissappointed that we didn't make it through this Christmas and if I had known that these scenes were part of the show, I may have been better prepared with a "cover story". So I just wanted to get the word out there that savvy children will pick up on this! It went right over my younger daughter's head though. A cute show overall, but be prepared for questions! |

Disappointing Review by: , Dec 3, 2007 |
Don't sit in the balcony. You can't see the front of the stage. I got first row balcony seats, thinking the kids wouldn't have to look over an adult's head. But we still couldn't see well.
The kids we took are 6 and 7. Their mom thought they would love it. They were bored.
My husband really liked the movie, but was disappointed with the show. The moral of the story doesn't come across very well. Oh well, can't win them all. |

Grinch is Great for the Holidays! Review by: CJ, Nov 11, 2007 |
We loved it! I wanted to take my son to the city to see a Christmas show, we're both tired of the Christmas Spectacular, so I took a chance and tried the Grinch. It was so much fun and so entertaining. The actors were great and the sets were beautiful. I would definitely recommend it. |

Great Holiday Fun! Review by: Dreamgirl, Dec 8, 2006 |
| I loved this show....great holiday fun! I loved the Grinch cartoon growing up and it was a blast seeing it come to life on stage. Very faithful to the original Seuss book and illustrations. Patrick Page was great as the Grinch. Lots of small kids in the audience and it seemed to hold their attention really well. At just under an hour and a half it seemed to be the right length for the kiddies also. This could be the start of a great ... read more holiday tradition like the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. If you want a shot of Christmas spirit, check out the Grinch. |

ONLY AN HOUR AND 20......THANK GOD. I COULDNT WAIT FOR THIS ONE TO END. THE SONG THE GRINCH SINGS ABOUT THE CHILDREN ON CHRISTMAS MORNING BEING ANNOYING WAS RIGHT ON THE MARK...THE SONG WAS HORRIBLE AND TRULY WAS VERY ANNOYING. ALL THAT BANGING AND CLANGING. GRINCH AND OLD MAX DID AN EXCELLENT JOB THOUGH. THE KIDS PARTS WERE MEDIOCRE. ANY KID THATS DONE SCHOOL SHOWS COULD HAVE DONE THIS PIECE.

A New Christmas Tradition- Better than Radio City Review by: Cat, Nov 15, 2006 |
I have ALWAYS HATED anything to do with the story of the Grinch! Never watch the animated version, and cannot stand the Cary Grinch! BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT.....I Loved this Musical!!! The set design, the unique entrances of the actors, the delightful score, the costuming....WOW! I am not easily impressed, and I have seen a lot of broadway theater (including attending the Tony Awards), and this impressed me. The kids in the cast were ... read more fabulous! GO SEE THIS.... I will, again and again and again and again... |

Is the Grinch On Stage or In the Audience? Review by: KT, Nov 12, 2006 |
I don't know what show some of the other reviewers here saw but "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" is just the right venue to spread the Christmas message to children of "all ages". How unfortunate that some children can not sit still for all of 80 minutes to be entertained. And how unfortunate that the adults who attend with them can't put aside their cynicism for 80 minutes as well. The cast is a talented, cohesive group of powerhouse ... read more performers from Patrick Page as the Grinch himself, to John Cullum as Old Max, and to the entire ensemble, especially the children. The music is delightful, with "You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch", "Who Loves Christmas", "Welcome Christmas" and "Whatchama Who", leaving the audience alternately breathless with amazement (especially at the dancing in Whatchama Who) or beaming with good will! The sets are beautifully reminiscent of the book and the costumes are sweetly whimsical just like the Who's themselves. Make this a Christmas tradition for you and your children! And don't blame the show for the high price of tickets, those are Broadway prices and they are dictated by the theatre. At 80 minutes without intermission it's the perfect length for the little ones. Kudos to "How the Grinch Stole Christmas! |

TOTAL Rip Off...sleeper! Review by: sixofus, Nov 12, 2006 |
| This show was a complete rip off. Do NOT waist your money! Go see TARZAN or LION KING. This show was expensive and a total bore. It was one hour long with no intermission. You can not understand a word of any of the songs...the characters mumble. My kids were falling asleep! I wish I could get my MONEY back! |
