Dinner sure to be a laugh. Review by: Diract 66, Jun 13, 2012 |
| The second best comedy on Broadway right now. Spencer Kayden's performance is surely Tony worthy. She steals every scene she is in from the moment she enters. A most amazing scene is when the two male leads strip her down in seconds from a waitress uniform into a glamourous socialite. This is essentially a story about a cheating husband, a cheating wife, a a best friend?, a mistress, and a waitress(Kayden), who becmes a part of this story by ... read more backing up every lie and confusion for just a little money. As each lying story changes she make a lot of money. This farce has all the things you expect and a great speech at the end that explands everything that previously happened, sure to get applause. The audience I attended with laughed a lot, and I think you will too. A little outdated in its style for today, but an enjoyable time. The rest of the cast is good but in better hands this would be an even better production. Great big set overtakes the production and dwarfs the actors. Worth a discount ticket. |

Safe and boring! Review by: joan, Apr 21, 2012 |
| OK... there was success with Boeing Boeing on Broadway so they figure let's do another play just like it. Boring. Been there. Seen it. Isn't theater about taking risks ?!?!? |

Dont bother Review by: su, Apr 16, 2012 |
This was hard to sit through. Some laughs interspersed with long boring dialogues. This play would have been a hit if it was half as long. The French chef was miscast and so was the girlfriend! |

Dress for Dinner and Go Somewhere Else Review by: Mr. C, Apr 12, 2012 |
Only see it if you can get discounts. At times very funny, at other times not so funny. Sometimes it was difficult to hear the words of the cook and we were sitting in the second row in the mezzanine. For a Wedinesday mattinee there were plenty of empty seats. It's probably a short run production if not it will be just by seeing the empty seats. |

Great Fun Review by: emmgal, Apr 4, 2012 |
If you would like to forget of all the problems of everyday life and spent 2.5 hours smiling, laughing and enjoying great show go and see it. It is a comedy of errors, written and performed with a great talent. It is similar to "Boeing, Boeing". Actors are perfect.

Laughter...Laughter...Laughter... Review by: Drama Fan, Mar 31, 2012 |
| An enjoyable evening spent laughing at the antics of the characters trying to cover up several trysts. The dialogue can be rapid fire with twists and turns as the cheaters try to squirm their way out of their mess. Considering it was the first night of previews, we were amazed at the actors flawless delivery - they did not miss a beat. An entertaining show for some comic relief (and without slapstick!). Bravo. |
