Amazing show with Amazing talent: Making the world remember 9-11 Review by: , Feb 16, 2008 |
| Having seen Crossing Brooklyn, i think it was AMAZING how someone could take such a Broad topic that every single person in AMERICA can relate to and create a show that will help preserve history and how America can together and became stronger. It was Clear that every Actor on that stage had done their HOMEWORK. They all were so believeable exspecally the Student who had lost his father(J Bradley Bowers). Everytime he was onstage his emotions ... read more were in touch with what was going on he could make the audience feel like they were going through life in his situation and truely feeling his pain. He stood out the most mabey for being the only child in the show. However having done the talkback after show the cast expressed that for being a pre-teen J Bradley Bowers was extremely Mature and coming from being Young Tarzan in Disney's Tarzan on Broadway, they were suprised how much it ment to him to get a powerful messege across that he would turn down a Who in the Grinch to come and do an Off-Broadway show. Many different people came to see Crossing Brooklyn, from Parents, teens, and some children. The music was a great way to express what many of us felt during 9-11 and made us aware of how others where greatly affected more so then us. Something that stood out was the set, it was simple, it used the cast, it showed how everyone in a city can be in the same crowd as people with the same feelings and fears. The very end when the Bungee cords created the Brooklyn Bridge it shows that life can restart and you dont need to forget as well as how strong we can become after an event in history that was massive. |
