Great Stand Up Show, But NOT on Broadway !! Review by: Javy, Feb 12, 2011 |
I saw the Evening SHow to Colin Quinn One Man Show. I would Have to say that is he is a Talented Stand UP Comic, and Its shows on the Stage. But to me, This is NOT what is Broadway or Even Off broadway. I would expect him at Caolines or the Comedy Cellar with some Beers and Buffalo Wings and saved alot of Money compared to a Theaterical Broadway Show. The stage was Plain, and at times we had to strain to carry out his voice. So ... read more when the crowd laughed you missed the next joke which , at the Stand Up Stage, was better than the Original joke. I say , If all else fails , Check out Colin Quinn , but PLEASE PLEASE Done spend alo tof money. He is Good, BUT NOT Broadway Good !! |

Once was enough Review by: jack, Jan 30, 2011 |
This is a good show, but not a great show. The material has the occasional brilliant flash, but more often tosses up clichés. Delivery was not pitch perfect either. Still, we had no regrets going.

Lots of laughs Review by: Magnus, Jan 23, 2011 |
Really funny! Me and my seventeen year old son laughed a lot. Colin is excellent. And you can tell that mr Seinfeld is involved, especially by the way the jokes are delivered. The story is mostly entertaining, but at times there's also things that makes you think about the state of the world - both then and now. Well, what more can I say...? Just go and see it! |

A raucous history lesson courtesy of Colin Quinn Review by: quizking101, Dec 19, 2010 |
I rushed the 5pm show and they stuck me in the Mezzanine (which is not half bad at the Helen Hayes). From the get-go, Colin Quinn has you in stitches with a great combination of observational comedy and gratuitous ethnic humor. He takes you on a journey of all of the fallen empires of the past and how they shaped how messed up we are today. (He also takes some digs at Canada, about how they are like furniture covered in plastic, as well as ... read more America once was an ethnic melting pot, but now is just a giant food court). For a Colin Quinn fan or history buff, they will enjoy this humorous 75-minute summation of empires past, with a hilarious twist. Just one note, the show break for 15-30 seconds between routines, which kind of reminded of A LIFE IN THE THEATRE's slow transitions, which, if you aren't patient, will be irksome. Colin Quinn does not go to the stage door after or between shows. However, they do sell poster signed by him and Jerry Seinfeld for $50.(yikes!) I rate this a solid 8/10.
