Funny, moving, original Review by: Legs, Jan 12, 2012 |
| This play is ultimately about a father's and daughter's pain over a great loss. Like life, it also contains a lot of comedy as it reveals the characters' story. It is all done beautifully, never skipping a beat. From the opening scene, David Hyde PIerce presents the man at the center of it all with great precision. There are a lot of laughs, a very sad story about a house divided and definitely much to think about when you leave. |

David Hyde Pierce is tremendous Review by: Johanna , Dec 17, 2011 |
This play won't be for everyone. It's ambitious and tries to blend absurd comedy with very real drama, but in my opinion the writer pulls it off. The story is fresh and original and VERY MOVING. I'm going back to see it a second time. |

Pointless and dull play that felt like it was written by a robot. Review by: aitchnotkay, Dec 16, 2011 |
Tired, stereotypical characters deliver unnatural speeches, each self-consciously getting his/her supposed show-stopping moment; cod psychology; Rosie Perez doing the one and only thing Rosie Perez ever gets hired to do. Even the set is a cliche. The first two minutes are quite amusing, and then it's downhill at speed. The actors all work hard, but the material isn't worth the bother. |
