| WOW what a show I bought tickets for myself and my husband and after viewing the show i knew that i had to go back to share with the rest of my family, so i did and now they want to share with others.I'ts a great show. |

| The show was superb! I really enjoyed the music Mr. isidro Infante played Celias music unbelievably good. he had everyone dancing. Xiomara was great she made me feel like I was sitting in a Celia concert. Mr. Modesto Lacen deserves a standing ovation for his role as Pedro Knight. | This show is the Latin version of Jersey Boys. The women playing Celia Cruz and her mother have extraordinary voices. The acting is wonderful, but even in English, it helps to know a good deal of Spanish as some of the characters add asides which are definitely lost in translation. |

Terrific! I took my parents to see this show and we all loved it! Celia's story is told in a respectful and loving manner.
Xiomara Laugart is fantastic as Celia the performer, she is very talented. The music keeps you dancing in your seat, the band is wonderful. The entire cast was very good.
If you loved Celia you must see this show.

We were a group of 6 from Paterson, New Jersey. I must say that the show was excellent! We laughed, we cried, the music was great, the actors really got into their character and the dancers had great rhythm. We all love latin music! This is definitely a must see for the young and old. | On our vacation to NYC we were blessed to find great seats to this wonderful show. Thank you for bringing Celia back to life. This was a true love story - one of Celia and Pedro and the second of the love of the music. I could NOT stop dancing in my seat. It was the best way to honor her. Anyone that doesn't enjoy themselves really does not know who Celia really was. Thank you!! |

| I took my mom, sister, an old cuban friend from cuba and her daugher we had an amazinh time. This is a must see show. Celia's old song reminds me waking up every Saturday morning to her blasting music to clean the house. I loved the show so much bought another 6 tickets, going to see the show AGAIN. I laughed, I cried, I danced . It was beautiful , amazing , inspiring. The dual celia's is perfect because it let's you see the two sides of Celia. The performer and the wife.
The performer was honestly frightening, she could have fooled anyone in believing that Celia was on stage. She sang like her moved like her. Really fantastic. The acting was beautiful. Disappointed! Amateur and mediocre script. Completely untheatrical and pointless. Melodramatic to the point of disbelief. It’s not a musical. It’s not a play. It’s not a concert. It's not a revue. What is it? It uses a a badly acted Pedro Knight and a male nurse as narrators. Deadly to the show's pace and rythm. Did we need a scene of Celia and Pedro meeting in heaven? Even worse, it uses a baffling concept of a dual Celia. Why this? ... read more What is the root of this devise? Did Celia have split personality or a double life we were not aware of? I don’t think so. She was straight forward and the pure salt of the earth. These two Celias just confused me. Both actresses neither look nor sing like Celia. So what’s the point? Standard and elemental direction with nothing inventive or exciting to offer. All this takes place against a chilly and generic set. What is it? Where are we? A mausoleum? A concert hall? Where’s the excitement of the Tropicana or the Fania concerts. Endless projections against these barren walls will not do the trick. Costumes come across mostly as unflattering and tacky, instead of oppulent and eccentric. Celia was eccentric, never tacky. Frantic and clueless choreography is all over the place and desperately trying to save the evening. There is nothing to save. Conflict makes great theatre. As far as we know, Celia had a conflict-free life, except from her exile from Cuba. An exception in this production is the band, who honors Celia. They are the only real and hot thing up there. They bring back those hits flawlessly. I’m sure they make the lady proud. If only this band had an electric presence to match Celia Cruz up there... If only... She did leave a great musical legacy behind after all. As a latin person, I think Celia deserves to be remembered with a fierce theatrical concert celebrating her legacy, a musical event, not this flat telenovela.
