Loved it!! Review by: sulwyr, May 26, 2008 |
| Saw the Saturday evening performance and loved it. As far as my fiance and I were concerned, Mary McCormack (sp?) stole the show. I agree with a couple of the reviewers that commented on the accents. We had 6th row orchestra seats and had a tough time understanding some of the dialogue. Otherwise, it was fabulous!!! And, all of the actors were extremely gracioius after the show signing autographs and posing for pictures. |

Not That Good Review by: JB, May 19, 2008 |
| There were some very funny moments in the show but --- the actors forgot their lines a few times, there were a couple of prop/scenery malfunctions and Christine Baranski's French accent sounded more German. The best part was the dance they did at the end when they were taking their bows. |

Poor writing, dated, overacted, what a huge disappointment. I love the cast and had high expectations. The accents took away from the performance. It didn't work for me and I left after the first act. The only time my heart raced was when I saw Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara in the audience. Others seemed to enjoy the show so it's worth trying out for yourself. I warned you though!

Great first show Review by: stevenq99, May 9, 2008 |
| Boeing Boeing was my first Broadway play and I was not disappointed. The cast was great and really seamed to be having fun. We sat in the first row of the balcony and the view was very good. The play was long but kept your attention throughout. I thought the use color was an interesting part of the story and set. |

Funny Funny Review by: bway100, May 3, 2008 |
| I liked everything about the show: the cast, story, set, costumes, music, direction. If you like door-slamming shows, this is one to see. It's a little over-the-top and doesn't take itself seriously. It moves at a nice pace. I've recommended it to my friends because it was a fun night out. |

Step back in time and enjoy Review by: ElDee, May 3, 2008 |
A bit dated and maybe just what we need! Its a pleasure to see a situation comedy like the 50's style TV shows. Boeing Boeing shows its age- a bachelor juggling 3 air stewardess and juggling all three until- well you can guess what comes next. Remember the good old days? Stewardesses wore sexy uniforms and Germany had just lost the war. This might just be what we need on Broadway. A superb cast keeps rolls right over the dated script ... read more so well you almost forget its 2008. Enjoy.

My wife and I saw the show on May 1st and absolutely loved it. One of the best shows we've seen on Broadway. We laughed from beginning to end. Actors' play was absolutely unbelievable. Highly recommend to everyone who wants to see an entertaining Broadway show. |

Loved Boeing Boeing Review by: dylan, Apr 30, 2008 |
| This show was an absolute BLAST! I loved every minute of it, starting with the wonderful French pop tunes that play before the show even begins. Kitschy and hilarious, every member of the cast (6) works their tails off in this show. All were outstanding but Mark Rylance was just over-the-moon great. So much fun and I disagree with another reviewer: the little dance at the end is the PERFECT coda to a sparkling evening. If ... read more you're looking for a show to just sit back and enjoy and laugh, this is the one to see! I am definitely taking this one in a second time. |

Boeing Boeing Review by: Tom, Apr 28, 2008 |
Boeing Boeing" on the other hand, has nothing but satisfaction on its mind. A classic French farce (which has been filmed twice, once in French in 1960 and once in English -- with Jerry Lewis -- in 1965), "Boeing Boeing" is filled with slamming doors, missed connections and broad physical comedy. The story concerns Bernard (Bradley Whitford, of "West Wing" fame), a successful architect living in Paris who is managing to juggle three women ... read more who all think they are the only one. Each is a stewardess for a different international airline, each on a different schedule. Bernard's old school chum, Robert, shows up on the same day that a new jet goes into service, throwing off Bernard's timetable perfection in scheduling the exit of one fiancee with the entrance of the other. Christine Baranski is miscast as Berthe, Bernard's long-suffering maid, but Whitford is terrific, and Mark Rylance is hysterical as Robert. Robert is from Wisconsin, and his slow-talking, simple ways stand in perfect contrast to Bernard's playboy smoothness. Rylance (in photo above) originated the role in the London production of the show, and I'm so glad he crossed the pond to reprise it at the Longacre. I have a feeling "Boeing Boeing" may not strike a chord with New York's critics, but audiences are going to devour this tasty concoction of retro-humor from the dawn of the sexual revolution. by Tom Bestor |

SIt Down Review by: TLB, Apr 27, 2008 |
| A little silly and over the top, but worth the cost of the discounted tickets. However, the dance at the end is a cheap attempt to get a rise out of the audience. It didnt work |

Funniest non-musicial on Broadway! Review by: NJRose, Apr 24, 2008 |
| Fabulous play!! We saw an afternoon show because it's long. First 1/2 before intermission is 1.5 hours. Second 1/2 is about 45 minutes. The cast is wonderful, and the show is genuinely funny w/o being slap-stick silly. It's entertaining right up to the very, very end. I highly recommend it. |

What a hysterically funny show ! Review by: neldam, Apr 22, 2008 |
Side splitting laughter ! What a fun night. & I must agree with another reviewer, Mary McCormick was OUTSTANDING as Gretchen, the GERMAN air hostess ! I saw it Saturday night, 4/19; first night of previews, and I thought we'd probably see a lot of mistakes for first night, but it was amazingly seamless, every line right on que. I'd recommed this show highly. |
