If you love to laugh, you'll love this show!! Review by: Elle, Jul 14, 2008 |
Saw this on Saturday, July 12th at 2:00 p.m.. I was a little worried at first, since it started out slow (I wasn't laughing). As soon as Mark Rylance showed up, it was a laugh fest!! All the actors are great, but my favorites were Mark Rylance and Mary McCormack (Gretchen the German Stewardess). If you enjoy a good belly laugh, there are plenty to be had! I would definitely recommend it! |

FABULOUS CAST Review by: Coco, Jul 10, 2008 |
Memorable and funny play. The ladies were over the top and hysterical. Each one of them was incredible in their own language and actions! Christine Baranski,,,, was amazing. She lights up the stage with her actions and comedy perspective! Can't stop laughing!!!! |

Boring, Boring Review by: mh, Jun 29, 2008 |
The end of civilization as we know it may well be at hand -at least, based upon the audience reaction to a recent performance of this show. The acting was uniformly (with the exception of Mark Rylance, albeit in a clearly non-Tony worthy performance) execrable, with by far the worst offender being a one-note screechy ear-splitting hammy performance of Mary McCormack. I was baffled that the audience seemed to enjoy the show so much - and, ... read more by the way, why o why does every single show these days, regardless of quality, seem to merit a standing ovation at the curtain call? - and I am now quite fearful for the sanity of the theater-going public. |

Entertaining show Review by: , Jun 27, 2008 |
| I see a lot of shows and I rate this show a 8 out of 10. I think a women would like this show more than a man would. The production was more like a off broadway show. The never changed the scenery and there was only 6 actors and actresses. Not a good show to take the kids to. |

What were the Tony voters thinking? Review by: Philly theatre lover, Jun 17, 2008 |
I'm just amazed that this show beat out MACBETH and LES LIAISONS DANGEREUSES for best revival. My husband and I found it very dated, unfunny and poorly directed. Bradley Whitford seemed to totally misunderstand the part as he was artificial, unappealing and very obviously acting (as opposed to being in character). We're such fans of Christine Baranski that she can do little wrong but in this play she was given very little to work with - ... read more although her lines got the most conistent laughs. We left at intermission. |

Review by: LEBO, Jun 16, 2008 |
My son and I enjoyed the show especially the male actors. The direction was quite strange regarding the 3 female air hostesses. Why did they have to be posed and larger than life. Did not add to the comedy. My husband on the other hand hated it say it was one joke and not funny. |

| I saw it in London and again in New York. I didn't realize that Mark Rylance was in it aagin in NY. I went to see it the second for one of my favorite actresses, Christine Baranski. I wish she was one of the "air hostesses". She would have been great in one of these roles instead of a maid. |

Review by: AmyCT, Jun 15, 2008 |
We saw Boing-Boing on 6/13/08. It was an enjoyable time, but I was disappointed in Bradley Whitford, I did not think he played the part well at all, and I am a big fan of his overall. I also wish Christine Baranski had been involved more in the plot. that said, the 3 stuardesses were very good, and Mark Rylance was just unbelievable good. They all put so much energy into the show, but he really, really is the part, and makes the show.... read more. I recommend going if you get discount tickets. |

Review by: susieQ, Jun 12, 2008 |
| Run, don't walk, AWAY from this awful show. The performances were so over the top,I was embarassed for the actors. Bradley Whitford, the supposed Stud of the story, acted so gay that I actually expected that to be a plot twist. I thought the material was so so, but the RIDICULOUS, OBNOXIOUS, posing, posturing, histrionics were truly unbelievable. I was not alone in my opinion as many ladies in the lounge post show were discussing these ... read more same things.I can't believe this lasted more than one night on broadway. |

Last minute Choice - Pleasant Surprise! Review by: Spring & Fall on the White Way, Jun 8, 2008 |
| Sometimes you see what 's available when plans aren't made. 4 of us entered theatre with no real expectations. All 4 enjoyed the matinee performance. A slow, awkward start caused concern, but as soon as Mark Rylance appears, the show kicks in as non-stop entertainment. The playbill credits him with a Shakespearean pedigree, but he is a phenomenal comic talent. The wonderful Christine Baranski is oddly miscast, Mary McCormack truly is the ... read more female standout and Bradley Whitford really steps up as the comedy grows more physical. All performers earned the enthusiastic ovation they received. Retro to be sure, but good fun. |

Hilarious... Loved it!! Review by: Nessa, May 27, 2008 |
| We went on Friday, May 23...it was alot of fun and the women of the show really make it hilarious. They are so dramatic and over the top. Definately go see this one, and definately get this dicount from this website, saved us half price, and we ended up getting great seats. Just a tip, if you go online and try to book the tickets online, but do not like what seats they are showing you online... wait till you get to NY, go to the box office and ... read more see what seats they can give you. We were able to get great Mezzanine seats on the isle for like $50. |
