Don't make me laugh Review by: Pusscat30, Apr 19, 2009 |
| I was expecting a laugh riot. Instead I found Boeing Boeing to be over-acted and an idiotic storyline. It's about a womanising man who has 3 fiancees. As a woman, I don't find this funny at all. The actors were unable to imitate foreign accents. I noticed several people in the audience dozing off. Waste of time and money |

Fantastic Cast, Hilarious Show, Must see!!! Review by: maddokm, Jan 5, 2009 |
| The absolute funniest play I have ever seen. Laughing from start to finish. The entire cast was great - especially Missi Pyle who was amazing! A definite must see if you get the chance. You'll be smiling for days! |

One of the funniest I've seen on Broadway!! Review by: , Nov 13, 2008 |
| If you like slapstick, laugh out loud comedy, this play is for you. I was hysterically laughing from beginning to end, all the character's balance and compliment each other very well. I would definitely see this again! |

Abosolutely Histerical Review by: Brittany, Oct 22, 2008 |
| This show was absolutely amazing. The people who have written bad reviews must not have a great sence of humour. I bought the tickets without knowing anything about the play because I found them cheap on this website. I went to the play thinking it was not going to be a very good play but it took me by surprise. The entire time everyone is laughing and enjoying the play. The actors do an amazing job connecting well with the role they are playing.... read more. Mark Rylance and Christine Baranski are truly an amazing part of the play. I would advise ANYONE to go see it. Might not be the best for young kids as for they may not understand the content of the play. LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED IT!! go and see it! |

Go in at intermission Review by: Rick, Sep 11, 2008 |
| I couldn't wait to see this show. Christine Biranski is a huge favorite of mine, but didn't have enough time on stage. The first half almost put me to sleep; the only thing that kept me awake was my constantly wondering what these three girls saw in such a boring man. Thank God for Mary MacCormack's breakout performance in the second act. Sbe saved the play!! An update was in order. Place the action in the U.S. with the flight attendants ... read more from different parts of the country. Same play with fewer lousy attempts at accents. |

Not in the same league as Noise Off Review by: WilPowerMom, Sep 4, 2008 |
I am a regular Broadway and West End (London) theater goer. I saw Mamma Mia last week in London and came back and saw Boeing Boeing on Broadway. No comparison. The plot for Boeing-Boeing is slow and I almost fell asleep at times waiting for an actor to speak or do something. It's a farce, not a comedy, so it's over the top, which is fine, but nowhere on the scale of Curtains last year (with a marvelous David ... read more Hyde Pierce) and certainly not even close to Noises Off. Given that this is a farce, the action and the dialogue should be rapid-fire brisk - this show had long pauses, almost begging for a reaction from the audience. If you're going to see this for Christine Baranski (Mamma Mia movie), she has the smallest part. Mary McCormack (In Plain Sight - USA)is funniest, but her accent is so exaggerated that she's very difficult to understand most of the time. A mildly entertaining night out, but only if you get seats at a deep discount as I did. I wouldn't pay more than $30 for this show. I'd rate it a 4. |

I haven't laughed this hard in AGES! Review by: DP, Aug 30, 2008 |
| This show was spectacular in every way! The acting was great, the storyline was fantastic, fast paced and kept me guessing the whole time. My girlfriend and I laughed until tears rolled down our faces. The rest of the theater was laughing just as hard as we were! Amazing show, a must see!!! |

Silly But Worth Seeing (at a discount) Review by: DoctorJoeE, Aug 24, 2008 |
| I didn't expect much here -- after all, we all (at least those of us of a certain age) have seen the movie, we all get the "who's cheating on whom" idea, we all know how it ends. But it's a fun evening, especially with discount tickets, which are readily available. Christine Baranski gets top billing because she's the best known (at least to tourists), but her part is relatively small. The real star is Mark Rylance, who is ... read more on stage every minute of both acts as all the other actors run in and out, and delivers most of the funny lines. The three air hostesses overact like crazy from beginning to end, which I understand is part of the farcical comedy thing, but Kathryn Hahn is particularly over-the-top with her weird contorted poses that don't make a lot of sense and make her look even sillier than the script dictates. Gina Gershon is the best actress of the three, but Mary McCormack is best at carrying off the exaggerated nationality stereotypes, and in so doing makes her overacting almost appropriate. This is not Shakespeare, but it doesn't try to be. Mark Rylance made me laugh out loud (which seldom happens for me in a theatre), and I left feeling I had been entertained. What more can you ask for at $60 a pop? |

Half Full is better than half empty. A fun evening. Review by: Doctor Travel, Aug 3, 2008 |
Saw it on August 2nd. Found first half slow and predictable. 2nd half was terrific. The door fell off one of the hinges and the actors ad libed. It was fabulous, funny, and the audience enjoyed it. If you want a good laugh from old material this is a fun show. The females were all extraordinary. Subject matter is not for children. I would suggest this for anyone that wants to simply watch an entertaining show that offers some laughs, and the ... read more opportunity to watch some great actors do their stuff. |
