Couldn't wait for this show to end.
After seeing this and "The Odd Couple", one has to wonder how Neil Simon got anything produced. Although the cast was good (With the exception of Tony Roberts, who was horribly miscast), this evening was one which i could not wait to forget. |

Patrick Wilson is a delight! He is outstanding as Paul Bratter. He is terrific in a comedy! His facial expressions alone are worth seeing in this. Bravo to the ensemble. This story never grows old. Jill Clayburgh is hysterical. I recommend this play to everyone. A real feel good play!! Well acted.

I saw this production this past Tuesday night. Amanda Peet's role was played by her understudy, Erin Fritch, who was wonderful! I thought the play itself was great and Patrick Wilson and Jill Clayburgh were magnificent. Go see this show! Maybe Amanda Peet should go back to Hollywood and turn the role over to Erin Fritch.

The show was very cute and fun to see. Patrick Wilson, Jill Clayburgh, Tony Roberts, and the rest of the cast did an excellent job! The only disappointing part was Amanda Peet's shouting of her lines. Not sure she realizes she can project her voice without yelling. It's too bad, since her character is central. But the rest of the cast make it worthwhile - they do a great job!

I thoroughly enjoyed this play. THe movie is one of my favorites and I was anxious to see it on the stage, especially with Patrick Wilson. We were kept laughing and entertained. Jill Clayburgh just lit up the stage. She is hilarious, and for a woman of such small stature, fills up the stage with a hug presence. Patrick Wilson and Tony Roberts were perfect in their respective roles. I agree with previous reviews, Amanda Peet is the weak ... read more link in this production. Her characater carries a good bit of the show and she just isn't up to the task. An actress with a better stage presence and a better sense of live comic timing would have been a better addition, but overall this show is GREAT!

It was a treat to see Jill Clayburgh. She is timeless. It was a cute show...not fabulous...but entertaining and upbeat. My one beef was Amanda Peet. Gee...hasn't someone told her to stop screaming her lines and running on her tiptoes all over the stage.

I had a great time. Amanda Peet was great. THis show is fun and alive. OK, a little dated, but in a fun way. Do not brelieve the jaded reviews of the press. Plus, they were mad t Amanda.

As many are aware, the show is a bit dated (especially if you are a progressive feminist like me!), but overall it was a fun way to spend the afternoon. Music was also fun- sixties pop played during the intro and scene changes. Patrick Wilson as Paul Bratter is brilliant! So were Jill Clayburgh and Tony Roberts. Amanda Peet is adorable but still finding her feet on the stage- she yells and pushes her lines out as if she feels she needs ... read more to project more.
