| I saw As You Like It at BAM last night, the most recent installment in Sam Mendes' "The Bridge Project" and was absolutely blown away. While As You Like It was never my favorite Shakespeare play, I was beyond impressed with the cast, direction, staging and thus the results of this truly magnificent production. The performances were dare I saw flawless, across the board, and I couldn't believe it was only day 3 of previews. ... read more Delivery was accessible and entirely believable (something I think is a daunting task with Shakespearean prose). Direction, music, and set design all were so beautifully done it made for a magical night of theatre. This is Broadway caliber and worth getting good seats. Don't miss! |
