A ROCK SOLID OFF-BROADWAY CREATION Review by: RALPHIE, Sep 13, 2006 |
| The creators of this play might think it's offbeat, but it was my first choice as a replacement when the show I'd planned on closed down. A truly good story, with excellent acting and solid music combined to make this our best Off Broadway buy in several months. There's nothing out-of-place about telling a downbeat story with music. The New York Times critic was there the same night. Some will care what he thinks, but (sight unseen) I do not.... read more. One small negative: Some members of the audience snickered at the words "Republican Party" --- but playwrites can't be blamed if some of the audience are airheads; and there are many in New York. |
