Everyone struggles through this Review by: LD, Mar 3, 2008 |
ArtF has something to do with the struggle of young artists to succeed and their angst and their sexual struggles. I say "something" because neither the cast or the audience seems to know for sure. It was struggle for everyone on a Sunday matinee-including the audience.
As you may have noted from others, some audience members leave at intermission, but if you do, you miss some gratuitous
nudity that opens Act Two. |

| Went with a group of four others, the best thing about this play was discussing how bad it was afterwards. We left at the intermission, and even then we were struggling to remain seated. Don't waste your time or money. Good-looking people, so-so acting, shallow and uninteresting script. |

You must see Artfxxxxs!!! The main character Bella is one of the most gorgeous girls I have ever seen.
As for the play, I thought it was a little scary at first but it ended up being really smart, funny and interesting. The characters are sort of mean and I thought, "Why am I even listening to you?" But you figure out why they are that way in the second half of the show. It was weird because I see a lot of theater and there were times when I ... read more felt like I wasn't even watching a play. I was just watching a group of the coolest (and meanest) kids in New York hanging out together and being fabulous. But by the end I felt the way that only live theater can make you feel. Definitely cathartic.
If you like that phrase "The people you love to hate" Then this show is definitely for you.
But don't be a full on hater! You have to stay past intermission! All the way to the end. It gets really cool! |

| Our group of four all left during intermission. The play seemed pointless, wordy and boring. You should avoid it. |
