IT'S A HIT! Review by: New Yorker, Apr 6, 2011 |
I saw the show today, and it's spectacular. The music, the costumes, the choreography, the show in a nutshell is Tony Worthy. Sutton Foster will definitely get the Tony, once again. and it's funny! |

Uplifting Fun Review by: Theater Fan, Mar 29, 2011 |
This is a charming revival from the 30's. Sutton Foster delivers a Tony winning performance and a Joel Grey is a treasure. Cole Porter's music is timeless and is beautifully performed. Acting is great and timing perfect. It is a delight to see a well designed set, beautiful period costumes, an incredible tap number at the end of the first act, and an orchestra that matched the times in sound. ... read more A wonderful night's entertainment where you leave humming the tunes. (Can you remember a tune from any of the contemporary shows that are not juke box musicals?) If you want to laugh, smile, and lift your spirits go see this show. |

Painful - a waste of time and talent Review by: knitsafghans, Mar 26, 2011 |
| What a disappointment! I had high hopes for the cast and the music. In summary, the play is terrible, a waste of the talented Foster and Grey. The first act is interminable. There are several songs in the second act that should have been cut. I did not expect a profound book, but the story, the pacing, the characters are unreasonably weak. There were two good large scale dance numbers. They are really the only good things in the show. ... read more This is a must miss. |

Anything Goes Comes Roaring Back Review by: Dancing Mama, Mar 21, 2011 |
| Saw Anything Goes with my family last week during Previews and we were blown away. It is the quintessential large scale production and it does not disappoint! Sutton Foster as Reno Sweeney is a quadruple threat- beauty, great voice, and terrific acting and dancing. The large ensemble tap number is fabulous. Joel Foster as Moonface Martin is a stitch, and the other leads are very strong as well. The sold out audience erupted in applause ... read more at several points. Sure, it is pure fun, nothing too thought provoking, but is so well done. I look forward to seeing how it holds up, because it did not feel "outdated". |

Worth every penny! Review by: PMDlite, Mar 20, 2011 |
Saw this in previews - fabulous. A great company brings this to life - the title song is nothing short of amazing. The second act opens with a great number as well. It makes you understand what Broadway was like in the 30's. Worth the money! |

| Saw show 3/15, and it was wonderful. First act ended with a sensation. Amazing how this show holds up so well from 1934. Audience was super enthusiastic. Can't believe the reviews won't be fantastic. |
