Anything Really Goes! 80 percent of the time. Review by: Jds, Jun 27, 2012 |
| This show was amazing. I really liked it. But just a couple of songs were kind of not needed. Stephanie J Block who plays Reno Sweeney is fantastic, but you can't beat Sutton Foster. I'd give this show an 7.5 out of 10. Try to go see it before it's gone. |

Don't Miss It... Review by: july1231863, Mar 24, 2012 |
| Saw it with my spouse on March, 22. What a wonderfully entertaining evening!! The Playbill contained several notices that "substitions" were made that evening with understudies. All I can say is the show was fantastic, understudy or not. The audience loved it. By all means go. It's worth the time and money and you'll leave feeling happy and entertained. |

If ANYTHING.... You should GOES!!!!!!!! Review by: Diract 66, Mar 12, 2012 |
| Yes, it's old fashion. Yes, it has a lot of dialogue between the songs. Yes, the plot is totally unbelieveable. AND YES, it's the best time you'll have on broadway this year. Almost every song is a standard. The dance numbers are terrific, and the end of Act 1 is a theatrical treasure! No one today can write the clever lyrics of Cole Porter. In this show you can actually hear the words and wonder at the rhymes. I saw this with Sutton Foster ... read more who is definitely in command of this show.I hope she still continues with Broadway, even when she becomes a sitcom star. She is the new bright light of musicals for the last ten years and for many years to come...I hope. Joel Grey was very amusing in his impish way with two songs. There are a few slow moments in the show but mostly a very good time will be had by all who see this. Older people will love this show and young people should see a show where a message can be to have fun watching a musical. Not every musical has to be depressing to be successful. Art goes in all directions. This musical reminds us of where we have been. In theatre....all theatre....Anything Goes! |

Review by: BlondonBroadway, Mar 10, 2012 |
| Terrific, perhaps even definitive revival of a feelgood screwball classic. Perfectly cast and slickly directed, with plenty of silliness and heart and some of the best dancing you'll see on Broadway right now. Remember, the whole show was always just a vehicle for Cole Porter's wonderful songs. It doesn't take its plot too seriously, and neither should you. |

| Saw AG about a month ago. Blown away. Probobly best performance I've ever seen in a musical. Sutton Foster owns Broadway. Joel Grey is unforgettable. One of the most incredible Broadway experiences I've had. And I've seen many. This show is worth every penney. See it! |

Review by: AMAZING!!!!, Feb 9, 2012 |
| I was so excited to see "Anything Goes" because My high school is puting it on this year as our spring production. The show started and I was upset to see Sutton Foster was not going to perform at this performance. I wanted to see her performance so bad because I heard she is amazing, but let me tell you Tari Kelly was amazing and a fantastic Reno Sweeny. I truely fell in love with her. Joel Grey was also so fantastic! He is Joel Grey I ... read more mean can I say more. Bill English was an amazing Billy and I was happy to see him in the role because I am playing Billy in my high school production. He really help me see the emotions and actions of Billy, which has made me create my own version of Billy. Robert Perkoff was laugh out load funny throughtout the show. The girl who I really want to meet because I think I now have a crush on her is Jessica Stone hahaha. She was an amazing and comical Erma. John McMartian and Julie Halston were a great pair together and made parts very comical. I also saw Mary Michaels Patterson as Hope and she was amaziung voicalist and actress. I love the show and I could see it about million more times, so I would say it is a must see. Even if Sutton it not in it you will not be disappointed. The cast as a whole stood on there own and made a classic musical into a whole new show and experience. Kathleen Marshall you are amazing and should direct and choreograph every show on Broadway because you would make every show amazing. So why are you reading this go out and buy tickets now. Hope this review helps. |

| This was a great and energetic Broadway show. The music and the settings were outstanding. The comedy sets were good as well.It was all bolstered by a lot of sub-plots that were zany. It definitely keeps you AWAKE. The lead singer is in the style of Ethel Merman (not my favourite,)but she is well complimented by several other characters. The dancing is GREAT!! |

Great Show! Wunderbar ! Review by: sebastian stert, Feb 7, 2012 |
Thank your for this amazing Cole Porter Evening. Sutton Foster, Joel Grey and the hole ensemble is very great. Only the role from Billy is a little bit.... cold be played better I think. Beautiful tab dance scene and a the best big band orchestra I ever heard (sad that they get no extra applause) Go and see this very good show. Greets from berlin. Tolle Show. Hier sieht man mal wieder wo das Musical her kommt und dass ... read more in Deutschland das niemand so gut kann wie hier am Broadway. Sutton Foster und Joel Grey sind wirklich brilliant, die Stepnummern atemberaubend! Also wenn ihr in New York seit anschauen! Kann ich nur empfehlen. Cole Porter is the best. |

| It's Cole Porter, so how could you go wrong? But with Sutton Foster and Joel Grey, everything is right! This show has it all -- superlative music, great singing, fantastic dancing, sets, costumes, everything! I walked out smiling from ear to ear and humming the tunes written by the GREAT Cole Porter. Sutton Soars in Anything Goes Review by: Gym Dandy, Sep 14, 2011 |
| Sutton Foster is a Broadway gem. She can sing, dance and act equally well. I can't think of another actor/actress who can do that. Oh wait... Joel Grey (in his day) can do all three and he's in Anything Goes! The show is fantastic fun with a witty plot and dialogue and the sets are wonderful. Although there is a long dance number at the end of Act I, I wanted even more dancing! |

Old Fashioned Good Time Review by: Dietgrl, Sep 5, 2011 |
| Loved Anything Goes. Sutton is at the top of her game. Joel Grey, very funny and still able to dance and sing at 80yrs old??? The plot is old fashioned, mistaken identity theme, which was still fun. I was waiting for dancing and it paid off by the end of Act I with a big tap number. The older supporting cast was light years better than the younger supporting cast. There was an out-of-place musical number about a character's penchant for lots ... read more of men. While she was a good actress/singer, it seemed like filler. Why not add another tap number in? Otherwise I was shocked to see this musical already on sale at the half-price ticket booth. |

SUTTON HAS EVERYTHING THAT GOES! PHENOMENAL! Review by: Gretchen, Aug 11, 2011 |
I had Goose Bumps and excitement! In NYC for the day, I got standing room only tickets on a whim for the 8/6/11 show. This revival w/Sutton Foster and Company rekindled my love for the Broadway Musical. I fell in love with Sutton's portrayal of Reno Sweeney. Sexy, Mature, with just the right down to earth spunk! From joke to song, Dance to Romance.. This cast is a MUST SEE! (I know I sound like an add, but I'm not joking!) I am now a die hard ... read more Sutton fan after seeing her perform in this show. She truly is a triple threat! It's as though all the greats got together and created a hybrid of themselves! No offense to the rest of the wonderful cast, but her chemistry is the glue that pulls that show together! -Gretchen Schultz, Bryn Mawr, Pa |
