See them , But if you can see in the Movies..IT would be ALOT Cheaper !! Review by: Javy, Nov 25, 2008 |
| Saw the Saturday Evening show. I Have to say that Cedric the Entertainer held his own with John. But you can see at times that he was very rhythmic and did not give total expression until the last act. Haley was very plain and did a lot of reactionary acting, a lot of taking from the other actors and not showing his character. As for John, He is a veteran of the stage and he carried the first act by himself, either accidental or intentional. ... read more I would say to many people to see the play if you are a fan of these actors, but don"t spend the premium seats. |

Review by: SeverelyDisappointed, Nov 20, 2008 |
| Saw a preview of the play before its grand opening. While there was obvious flow issues due to line problems, the play, plot, and lines themselves left much to be desired. It wasn't very entertaining. All three actors performed their roles well, but didn't have much to go with. Despite two big comedic names, there is little humor. I've seen over 30 shows on Broadway and this by far was the most disappointing of all I've seen. If you are ... read more willing to pay money to see three big name actors do well with the little they are given, go, but don't expect to enjoy your time there. |

Review by: Tex, Nov 18, 2008 |
The New York Times review said it all. The night I saw AB it was so uneven. I kept wondering why it wasn't as wonderful as Speed The Plow. The story was long and boring. Cedric was the only one who appeared to have a real character. It was an impressive B'way debut for a stand up comic. John L. was all over the place. Haley Joel seemed to mope around. The pacing was so slow then I realized it was because of line trouble. ... read more Don't spend your money. Rent the video. |

DISAPPOINTING Review by: Sandy, Nov 16, 2008 |
| This show was a huge disappointment, the only saving grace was an amazing cast. I was pleasantly surprised at Cedric's ability to play a non-comedic part. Hayley Joel was impressive and Leguizamo provided the only comic relief. However, the plot fell short, and I didn't feel a connection to any of the characters. I would not recommend this show. |

Loved the Cast Review by: abeachcomer, Nov 13, 2008 |
| Enjoyed the cast. Though you don't imagine this particular cast for this show I was impressed with Cedric the Entertainer. John L was awesome and Haley was good for a broadway debut. If you never have seen a broadway show this may not be the one to start with but definately worth seeing. |

TALENT OUTWEIGHS TEDIUM Review by: , Nov 2, 2008 |
| WORTH SEEING FOR THE ACTING AND PRODUCTION. PLAY ITSELF IS VERY TEDIOUS AND LACKS THE SENSE OF INVOLVEMENT WITH THE PROTAGONISTS WHICH IS TYPICAL OF MAMET'S OTHER PLAYS. |
