A Campy 90-Minute Spectacle...YOU WILL LOVE EVERY MINUTE! Review by: quizking101, Mar 28, 2010 |
For being the campy 90-Minute spectacle it was...I loved every freakin' minute. Michael Feinstein's voice is smooth like butter and I could not get enough of him singing...my favorite song was the opening tune "Strike Up The Band". Dame Edna was a joy! Her jokes were humorous enough to make you double over in your seat laughing and beg for mercy. Although, when she sang, her voice was very grating...(but that's part of the character).... read more. With Dame and Michael throwing gladiolas into the audience before curtain call, it just sweetened the experience. "The Gladdy Song" was incredibly werid but enjoyable. All in all, though it is not a huge high-quality, top-dollar, mega-musical like Wicked, Phantom, or The Lion King. It is a perfect dose of eye and ear candy... P.S - For all of you Fangirls and Fangays, Dame and Michael are so courteous and chatty at the stage door. Take advantage of that! |

Fun Show Review by: Clarice, Mar 20, 2010 |
If you are looking to enjoy an hour and a half of good humor and incredible music, this is the show for you. Mr. Feinstein and Dame Edna are great to watch. The band was one of the best sounding ensembles I have heard in recent memory - John Oddo's music arrangements are a tribute to the great arrangers and orchestrators of years past. While there were a few awkward transitions, but they were necessary to move the development ... read more of the production. I would not recommend this for children, but if you enjoy smart humor - and are looking for an hour and a half of sheer FUN - then this show is for you.

| O.K. - if you are looking for a "show" this ain't it. If you are looking for more a cabaret style event then this is the ticket. Some music, some laughs, a great stage band, glitter galore and basically 90 minutes that flew by. Michael is in great voice as always - Dame is well, Dame. If you like either, you should see this. If you like both -- you must see! |

A laugh out loud fun night in the theatre Review by: Cat, Mar 11, 2010 |
| In all my years of theatre going, I had never seen either Michael Feinstein or Dame Edna on stage, so really had no idea what to expect. I can now see why both individuals have such a following. What a treat to hear Michael's amazing voice...he so commands the stage and has the audience in the palm of his hand...and then there's Dame Edna, well...the laughs just keep on coming..and the two together do have this unique chemistry..they really ... read more play well off each other...I'm laughing as I write this thinking back on some of their antics...just an unexpectantly fun fun night in the theatre! |

| I didn't really know what to expect. Some friends and I were looking for a fun night out and so we got tickets to see All About Me. Michael Feinstein can belt out any tune. He's at his best when he's behind the piano and makes the audience feel like they are part of an intimate gathering... but the real fun kicks in when Dame Edna lands on stage with panache! She (he) is smart, funny, relevant, and just commands the stage ... read more with comical brilliance. There could be a bit more dancing, but we laughed hard throughout most of the show and continued to laugh on the way home. Lost of one-liners to remember from this one act show. A definite recommend. |

Fun night, go at a discount..... Review by: rskblueyes, Mar 10, 2010 |
I saw the show in previews on 3/9/2010. I have seen both Michael and Edna in solo engagements in the past and enjoy both of their work. In this show they both had solo stage time and some shared stage time. In my opinion, the show came alive when the two of them shared the stage. They played very well off each other, which sort of reminded me of a comedy team like Martin and Lewis. The story was cute, and the original numbers very ... read more clever. The orchestra great. The other actors in the show were very good. All in all a nice night out, but not sure if it was worthy for the Broadway stage and prices. I think it would have played better in a cabaret setting like Feinsteins. |

What a Shame Review by: Dick, Mar 6, 2010 |
| What a shame--The Dame is wonderful, alone--so is Michael, but they step all over each other. Michael is not funny, Edna can't sing and when they try, it leaves a lot to be desired |

Just Awful Review by: chicosgirl, Mar 3, 2010 |
| I thought that "All About Me" was awful. Michael Feinstein has a beautiful voice but the "story" about how he and Dame Edna can agree and do a show together was so contrived that I could have come up with a better storyline. If there had been an intermission, we would have left, |

Go have a fun night out and leave your troubles behind Review by: theatrefrannyk, Feb 28, 2010 |
| If you are a fan of Dame Edna or Michael Feinstein you have a pretty good idea what to expect from this show.As separate performers, they are both fantastic in their own way. Michael is such a wonderful singer and his song choices are excellent.Dame Edna is hysterical, especially when she is adlibbing with the audience. The main problem I had with this show, being a fan of both, is that I wish Michael did more songs in their entirety.because I ... read more enjoy his renditions of songs so much.I also wish that Dame Edna did more schtick, because when she did I was laughing out loud. The fued between the two seemed a little Carol Burnett show like to me but I loved it anyway.Just left wanting more of both.DON'T TAKE LIFE SO SERIOUSLY.GO HAVE A FUN NIGHT OUT. |

What a Fun Fun Show!! Review by: B'way Fan, NYC, Feb 27, 2010 |
| Saw a preview of Dame Edna and Michael Feinstein in "All About Me" tonight and had an absolute blast! You'll never see a show quite like this one. These two are very different entertainers, but both are hugely talented in their own ways. It's fun seeing them perform on their own and also together through the course of the evening. MIchael Feinstein is the foremost interpreter of "The Great American Songbook". What a pleasure it is to hear him ... read more perform them. And Dame Edna is just as funny as ever! There's also a big band orchestra on stage that sounds terrific! (Spoiler alert - if you're a Broadway musical fan, the overture is one of the funniest you're ever likely to hear!) If you're looking for a really fun night out, go go go!!! |

Disappointed - not funny and pretty stupid too Review by: BV, Feb 23, 2010 |
| Saw this show on February 22, 2010. I think it was their first preview day. Dame Edna was OK, but many jokes were predictable and not very funny. As for Michael Feinstein, well let's say the performance would have bben better without him. In my view he is not a good singer or performer. The whole concept of this show is ridiculous. I was so disappointed that decided to write a review. |
