Al Lubel pours his heart and soul into the show...I'm glad I saw him! Review by: , Jun 6, 2009 |
| Certainly an altogether different kind of theater experience! We saw Al Lubel (or "Alubel") last night, and enjoyed it greatly. A few small parts of the show drag a little bit, but that can be overlooked considering that Al bares his heart (and 95% of his body) in a funny, and at times, touching performance. If you're Jewish, you'll find you have a lot in common with Al's upbringing...at times, I thought he was talking about MY mother,... read more, not his. At the $5 per ticket that you pay on Broadway Box, I would say an evening of entertainment with Al Lubel is well worth it! And its a very intimate theater experience, which is very refreshing for those of us that are regulars at typical NYC shows. This is more a show for lovers of comedy and/or regular theater-goers. If you're a tourist that is only in town for a little while, you'll probably want to see something else. |
