The only REAL musical Review by: ppc1979, Aug 30, 2007 |
Always a classic-no way to improve upon it.
If you want all of your ticket money to go to big sets and overly colorful costumes-go see something else.
But if you want the money to go to the best story and hardest working cast on Broadway-you can not miss this! |

Great Review by: BC, Aug 26, 2007 |
My wife and I had the thrill to see A chorus Line for the first time since it has been back on Broadway this Friday evening. We absolutely loved it. The cast was terrific and 2 performers stood out for both of us, Bryan Knowlton as Paul and Dena DiGiacinto as Diana.
If you've never seen A chorus line or haven't seen it since it left Broadway, it is a must see. |

A Thrilling Experience Review by: JL, Aug 26, 2007 |
| My husband and I took in the Saturday matinee on August 25,2007. We were totally moved by the performances of all the actors, especially the young lady who played Diana when she sang "What I did for Love"! A Chorus Line delivers all of the excitement and thrills of being at a Broadway Show. I can't wait to see it again. |

A CHORUS LINE ***** Review by: , Aug 12, 2007 |
| Having seen the original production many times, I just went to see the revival of "A Chorus Line" for my 6th time. This show is definetly a legend and features great dancing, a fantastic score and brilliant choreography. The performers have all grown into their roles (there are some new cast members). Jason Tam, who plays Paul for only 2 more performances, just rips your heart as he tells his sad story during his monolouge. I watched the ... read more company exit the stage door after the show and sign autographs. All were very kind and obliging. I also met Charlotte D'Amboise (Cassie), also very nice and cordial. The highlight was that I got to then go backstage, see the costumes, orchestra pit....AND I got to go onto the stage and actually stand on the "the line" facing the empty theater. It was really a thrill for me. Also met the new "Paul", who happened to come onto the stage. I wished him good luck and again, he was very nice and sincere. "A Chorus Line" is one of the all time great musicals and this crowd pleaser should be around a very long time. I know I'll be going back again in the future. |

Review by: JB, Aug 2, 2007 |
I am shocked by those who write that this show has been updated to include profanity and homosexual references. It is the same word for word from the 1970's original--and brillant as it ever was!
To all of those upset by the references--Go see a jukebox musical or a revamped movie--they make those for you. Oh and stop bringing your kids to see shows you know nothing about and then acting shocked when they are inappropriate. |

Second Times A Charm! Review by: KennyInSF, Jul 25, 2007 |
| I saw "A Chorus Line" originally in 1981 and it touched me deeply (as I was Coming Out at the time). Now in its newest incarnation, it's still fresh and timeless. I was glad to be able to see it in San Francisco before it hit Broadway! |

Long and Boring Review by: Frosty, Jul 13, 2007 |
| We see broadway plays about once every 2 months and usually enjoy each one. With this one, we took our two daughters and a guest that has never been to a broadway play before. We thought it was boring and dull. It ran for 2 hours 10 minutes with no intermission. There was no set to speak of. The best part of the show was literally the last 5 minutes when they came out doing the Chorus Line. During the show there was profanity. Unfortunately, ... read more this was a bad experience for our guest for their first broadway show. For people interested in seeing this show, I would recommend seeing something else like Wicked, Producers, Spamalot and if you have a really good sense of humor, Avenue Q (not for kids though). |

Only see this show discounted. Review by: , Jun 27, 2007 |
| Take it or leave it. It's a nice production to see on a Sunday afternoon, but you aren't missing out on anything incredible if you don't make it to the theatre in time. |

Triple Threat Broadway Show almost racks in a Tony(apparant why). Review by: Bwayfanatic101, Jun 24, 2007 |
| This show is hillarious. I came into this show thinking that it was going to be AMAZING! I came out thinking it was PHENOMINAL! From the very beginning I could see why this got a Tony nomination for Best Revival of a Musical. Favorites were(of course): Shiella and Paul. Shiella is the comic relief in the show when it gets tense and everyone gets her. Paul was awesome! His monolouge was the best I have ever heard. It didn't leave a dry eye in the ... read more house. Cassie was alright. She did not do as well as I would have hoped. She still is a very good actress, but she didn't connect to me. This was way way way better than the movie(which is rumored to be remade). My favorite number has to be Sing or Hello:12. Every number was excellent. The no intermission was no hard to deal with and the best thing to do is to go to the stage door and talk to all the actors. My favorites in person were Paul and Judy Monroe. The best revival on Broadway. |

A nice night out Review by: , Jun 24, 2007 |
| I enjoyed the show just because when you come to broadway you come to see singing, dancing, and acting, and thats what you got. I loved watching the show and the actors perform, i just felt the story, and sets were vvery unimportant. I brought 5 of my 6 children because my 3 year old was not allowed to come and my 7 year old daughters who are twins were amazed, my 15 year son and 8 year old son hated it. My oldest who is 20 liked it though so in ... read more otherwords my family had mixed reviews on the show. I would have to fall in the middle of my kids, I didn't like it as much as my twins but I didn't hate it like 2 of my sons. I would give it a go |

Should have picked a different show. Review by: mom&deb, May 21, 2007 |
| We saw the matinee show on May 20, I was disappointed. It seemed like the cast was going through the motions. The Cassie performer seems, sorry to say, too old for that part. I wish we picked a different show! |

response to FLJEAN Review by: , May 17, 2007 |
| Do your homework....they didn't update it to reflect the lowering morals of the country - it hasn't changed since it was first produced...I guess the morals of the country have been low for years!!! |

Very Disappointing Review by: FLJEAN, May 16, 2007 |
The show was very poor with lots of profanity (F word) and references to homosexuality. Apparently this edition of the original was updated to reflect the lowering of our moral standards in this country |

One of the best musicals -- EVER Review by: Battery Jim, May 15, 2007 |
Simply one of the best musicals of all time -- certainly of the last 30 years -- on Broadway.
I saw the show five times in my youth and this production is pretty much intact from the 70s/80s. A great score, great choreography and just an exhilerating experience.
I can't recommend A Chorus Line highly enough |
