Yes. Review by: Green Baby, Mar 8, 2010 |
| Theater does not always have to be a profoundly moving experience. Sometimes it is just meant to be an amusing, irreverent romp; Behanding is just that. Read the overview of the play people, what do you expect? Money well spent if you are not offended by the absurd, off color, and out-of-bounds. I laughed. Hard. Advice: spend the money and get a good seat, it's a treat to see these actors close up! |

VERY DISAPPOINTED Review by: eireog, Mar 5, 2010 |
| So disappointing ... not what I have come to expect from McDoangh. He has lost his edge in this play. He really must be resting on his laurels now that he has found fame and what a pity, as this is his first major Broadway opening. Such a lightweight play that has no story, message, characters or meaning. It will appeal to the non serious theater goers for 12 weeks and be gone .. I have seen Off Off Broadway proudctions that are FAR SUPERIOR ...... read more. McDinagh, I fear was on something when he wrote this ... |

Lacking Something in a Dingy Hotel Room Review by: brooklynia, Mar 4, 2010 |
| The play was funny at times, but lacked something I still can't put my finger on. Anthony Mackie and Sam Rockwell's performances were flawless, but their characters lacked depth. Christopher Walken is always great in everything he does. But, his wackiness was apparent playing this bizarre character and I left the play wondering if Walken was just playing himself. To quote a friend, "the play seemed like an extended SNL skit", then added that ... read more it "was not necessarily a bad thing." I do agree with my friend that it seemed like his reoccurring skit "The Continental". Zoe Kazan had some funny moments as well, but annoyed me sporadically throughout the play, although maybe that was the writer and director's intention. Overall I was entertained by the weirdness, but was slightly disappointed. Even after writing this article, I still can't quite place why. |

| Laughed from beginining to end! Role made for Christopher Walkin - a treat to see him on Broadway. Sam Rockwell and Anthony Mackie were superb and a great chemistry existed between the actors. A great night at the theater! |

Review by: Disappointed, Mar 2, 2010 |
| Did not like this play AT ALL! I have read all of McDonagh's plays, seen them all, along with his films but this play is not great. The plot or comedy is not strong enough nor is it as dark as his other plays. The other plays, while comical, always have something profound about humanity. This has nothing. The staging is also unimaginative with one dreadful curtain-close, stand-up comedy. I get the feeling McDonagh is having a laugh on us in this ... read more one. I found the audience were laughing more at Christopher Walken being Christopher Walken than anything else. This play will be forgotten after its brief run and certainly will not last long in London where a razor sharp wit is necessary. MacDonagh is like a poor pupil of Ayckbourn with this play. Wanted to walk out but was mid-row. Guy behind me fell asleep. A few people gave a standing ovation JUST to Walken. Would not go see it again. Martin, stick to Irish dark humor. It works. |

Black Comedy at its best. Review by: Loujul, Mar 1, 2010 |
| Loved this show. My husband and I laughed from beginning to end. The residual laughter was contagious. Christopher Walkin was fabulous but at the same time didn't overshadow his young supporting cast. You know it's a good play when you start reciting lines the minute you leave the theatre. There is no intermission and the ushers stated that we wouldn't be reseated if we got up, so plan ahead. This is a must see show!!! |
