Going Again Review by: gretagirl119, Dec 3, 2012 |
| The only show I saw in the last few months that I am going to see again...I just remember that I loved it and that the story and the music and the talent were great. I was afraid that it would be on Broadway by now! Glad I can still pay discount prices. It was terrific and I still remember it. |

Among the best we have seen in NYC Review by: DrumBoy19, Nov 23, 2012 |
| We saw this show three weeks ago and thought it was going to be a pleasant-enough show. Turns out that it was one of the best shows we have seen in New York for a very long time and we go to theater, including concerts, at least once a week. First - the story line - ah - the story line - it grabbed us immediately. We couldn't wait to find out what happened in this really strange love affair which happened to be true and was based on an off-beat ... read more Broadway comic. It is seen through the eyes of their very compelling 20-something daughter and she actually plays her own mother. A very talented fellow plays Jackie Mason and it is rounded off with a terrifically talented cast. The musical score is among the best we have yet to hear with melodies that grabbed us and we walked out singing "Ode to the Early Bird Special". It was funny. It was sad. It was just great. We loved it. Go! |

We loved it! Review by: Max711, Nov 18, 2012 |
| Went to this show on a whim and was really surprised at how good it was. The story draws you in especially since it's true. The cast is amazing. The music was melodic and I left humming "The Early Bird Special". Amazing that they can do an Off-Broadway style show in a comedy club venue. Sheba Mason was really cute telling the story of her parents off-beat love affair. The bellydancers made me laugh. In fact we loved throughout the show, but it ... read more wasn't just about laughs - my wife cried as well. Actually, we both agreed it was more entertaining than the Broadway show we saw two weeks ago. Why isn't this show on Broadway? |

OY-THIS GAVE ME AGITA Review by: Purrminator, Oct 24, 2012 |
You will want to scratch your eyes out. The only funny thing is the lady in the bunny outfit. Dreadful story, bad songs, a smirk or two but no laughs. Glad I got the super-cheap price. |

Funny, yet moving with a great musical score! Review by: BigBenny, Jan 2, 2012 |
| This show was funny, yet incredibly moving at the same time, with a great musical score. Because it's based on a true story, the plot had unexpected twists and surprises...totally unique. It's a one of a kind theatrical experience and the up-front-in-your-face cast was amazingly talented. Totally recommend it! |

Better than the famous Broadway Show we saw the night before Review by: Guy, Dec 8, 2011 |
| Amazingly melodic musical score; loved the story - the actors - the talent. All of it created a wonderful NY theater experience even though it was in a comedy club. In fact, my wife and I saw a Broadway Show the night before and we both thought that this show was totally more entertaining! |

Review by: EllieD, Jul 16, 2011 |
WOW - we came to this show by default - long story - but what a wonderful surprise! The best we have seen in years - and we have seen many shows! We go to the theatre at least five times a week not counting opera and classical concerts we frequently attend - this show has HEART and a little piece of all of us in it. Dont let the description fool you - it is NOT a Jackie Mason stand up comedy show - it s a TRUE book musical with two acts that ... ... read more read more will actually make your day like it did ours! Direction, Choreography, Costumes , Music and Lyrics are top notch as is the talented cast! and you do not have to be Jewish to love it -the show is transparent to all - go and enjoy it - it will stay with you for years to come. |

More than cute - captivating - and fabulous musical score Review by: firefly, Jun 16, 2011 |
| I thought it was going to be a funny, entertaining show, but wasn't prepared for the emotional rollercoaster. I was sitting on the edge of my seat because this true story was magnetic and I will be thrilled as soon as I can order a CD of the music. LOVED IT! |

Well worth the price of the ticket - alot of fun Review by: mamablue, Feb 20, 2011 |
| I saw this show today and thought it was very cute. Catchy tunes, talented cast. Sheba Mason is adorable and funny and she looks just like her scoundrel father. I laughed my tushie off at the older waitress in particular but everyone was appealing. There are some funny lines and a few that weren't so funny but that's true of every show. overall it was a very fun entertaining couple of hours. well worth the price of admission. |
