Great Show, Wonderful Acting, Highly Recommended Review by: BroadwayBabySawIt, Jul 27, 2009 |
| We just saw this show again, and still loved it! We first saw it over a year ago in a different theater, and went back again - the cast is still wonderful, and they are very funny. It works even better in the smaller theater, and we highly recommend it to everyone, but especially people who love theater and movies. We especially like the way that the cast has fun up there, and talk to each other, reminding us that this is a show that ... read more is happening right now! Live performances are so much more special than taped ones, because anything can happen, and you really are reminded of that during this show, more than any other that we have seen. Bravo to a great cast, we will go again to laugh some more! |

Waste of money Review by: , Jul 23, 2009 |
| Did not like this play at all. Friends and I left at intermission. One friend fell asleep during the production.I will give great credit however, to the lighting and sound effects-very well done, but that is it.Don't bother seeing this one. |

Cute, But That's It Review by: Steven, Jul 4, 2009 |
| There were some really funny bits in the show, and the actors were quite good. But I felt it wore out its welcome--it was overlong and some parts really dragged. I don't think it's worth sitting through the draggy parts to get to the good ones. You can skip this one, and I'm surprised it's lasted this long. If you do decide to go, definitely DO NOT pay full price. |

Worst Show Ever Review by: ajh22, Jun 27, 2009 |
| This was the worst show I have ever seen in NY! A complete and total waste of money and time. We left at intermission since all 4 of us felt the same way...most around us agreed it was boring and slow moving and not funny at all. The actors were difficult to understand with their horrible fake accents too! |

Review by: Victoriana, Jun 5, 2009 |
| An amusing show but not one that I will remember as special. The four actors in the production all played more than one character and they did a great job at switching roles. But the characters themselves didn't come across as well developed and the dialogue didn't make the story as compelling as it could have been. If you only see one show in New York every few years I'd pick something else. |

Liked it..:) Review by: tarrytown, Jun 4, 2009 |
I really enjoyed the show! The characters were really funny and they used the stage pretty well. They pretty much popped up all over the place. The funniest bits were when they were in motion for example on the train, or in a car they did that really well. It was a pretty funny evening and after we went to drink coffee which made the evening complete.
The only comment I could add is that we sat in the balcony and wanted to move up to ... read more two empty seats that were in a higher row, but the usher wouldn't let us until the manager agreed in the end. I couldn't see why it mattered, but in the end they let us and we could see great! |

A snails pace Review by: Theatrebear, May 18, 2009 |
What a tedious exercise in how to waste an evening. There is no point to the pay. It satires a movie few of us have seen. While the actors change costumes fast, the evening moved at a snails pace. |

Review by: veganfred, Apr 23, 2009 |
| I love Monty Python but didn't see any of that here. Maybe it was just not feeling well from eating too fast, running to make the show, and being out in the damp weather at the Yankees game for 5 hours yesterday, I don't know. I'm looking for an excuse, but I really don't think it was me. I have a great sense of humor but this play just did nothing for me. I barely chuckled maybe once and smiled maybe twice. People nearby seemed to be laughing,... read more, but they laughed at every little thing, so I think they don't get out much. For me, this was a bust and a big disappointment after the reviews. Rent the Hitchcock movie; it's not funny, but then again, it's not supposed to be. This was juvenile at best. |

Talent and Script was the Best - Could Ask For More Review by: Chaperone, Apr 22, 2009 |
| This play was outstanding!!! I attended with 23 7th & 8th graders from California. I don't know of any other play on Broadway when we were there that could keep their attention more. The script and performances were wonderful, the slapstick kept the kids engaged and the humor and acting kept us adults in stitches. If you have the opporunity see this play twice if not more. |

A Perfect Play Review by: Chelle , Apr 4, 2009 |
| A funny play, wonderfully staged, with great acting and fantastic physical humor. 39 Steps is an all around fun, enjoyable show! If you don't know Hitchcock, the show is just plain funny. If you are familiar with his films, it is even funnier. All the production details were perfect. This was great, entertaining theater well done. |

Enjoy the Great Ride. This English Play takes the Parody of Monty Python and Spamalot. The Four Actors, and Believe , These Actors do a Fabulous Job creating and developing many characters to keep you enjoyed and laughing. This play is to be seen by couples or older adults. Laughter is the key with any musical or dancing score. Catch another play for that.
