Spectacular, Best All Teenage Cast B-way Musical!!!!!!!! Review by: Taylor, Mar 18, 2009 |
| If you have teenage kids then 13 is the musical to see. It is currently off broadway but will hopefully be going on a tour soon and if and when they do I will be there. I give it 2-thumbs up, and a 4-star rating. I would suggest though if you are looking for fully developed vocals then I suggest you go see something like "Wicked" , "Billy Eliot", etc. because 13 has an all teenage cast and their vocals are wonderful as well but as you can tell ... read more most teenagers tend to go through some voice changes but I still think this broadway show is spectacular so if you every get a chance and want to take your teen to a show then take them to see the best all teenage cast broadway show 13!!!!!! |

I LOVE 13 THE BROADWAY SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review by: Chocolatelover98, Mar 8, 2009 |
All of the acting in this show is amazing and I can't get the songs out of my head!!! My favorite songs are Hey Kendra and It Can't Be True!! Eric Nelson did a marvelous job. To those kids like me who sometimes watch iCarly, just for your information, Eric Nelson is in one episode!!!

Very talented actrors! Go see it!! Review by: broadwaylover, Jan 6, 2009 |
| The Broadway show “13” begins with a 13 year old boy, Evan (Corey J. Snide), moving from New York City to Indiana right before is bar mitzvah. Evan becomes best friends with his neighbor Patrice (Allie Trimm). They spend the whole summer together but then when school starts, Evan finds out that Patrice isn’t “popular”, and he pretends he does not even know her. Evan wants to invite all of the “cool” kids to his bar mitzvah but ... read more in order for Lucy (Elizabeth Egan Gillies), Kendra (Delaney Moro), and Brett (Eric M. Nelson) to come, Patrice cannot be invited. Evan has to choose between Patrice, and the popular kids. Along the way, physically disabled Archie (Joey La Varco) becomes involved and the popular kids are against him as well. This magnificent cast of solely teenagers draws the audience in and makes them feel as though they too are 13 year olds living in Indiana. This show brings the adults back to how they felt in junior high school and the choices they had to make, and it shows the younger crowd what life will be like for them when they are 13. The most enjoyable aspect of this play is listening to the teen’s beautiful and mature voices. “13” is currently playing at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre in New York City, but is closing in a few weeks so buy your tickets now! |

Great show, best with original cast Review by: , Jan 4, 2009 |
The cast of this show is truly phenomenal. All of them are fabulous singers, actors, and dancers. If this show goes on the road, go see it. Even though it is clearly catered to the tween set, the whole family can enjoy the witty lyrics/lines and catchy music. The only problem I had with this show is that if you see an understudy, you are completely missing out. The understudies pale when compared to the original cast, but this is a feel ... read more good musical for everyone. (And if you see it, beware of tween groupies after the show. Get out ASAP to avoid being run over.) |

I'm middle of the road on this one Review by: TheatreTeacher, Dec 31, 2008 |
| I knoe the show is closing this week, but you should probably go see it. Jason Robert Brown's music is great...and even a bit touching toward the end. 13 year-old Allie Trimm gives a great performance in the lead female role, and Eric Nelsen and Al Calderon are hilarious in supporting roles. I didn't much care for the young man playing the central character, and the story is fairly stupid and formulaic. Now new revelations for teens I felt:... read more: don't just chase after popularity, labels aren't important, don't thrown away your real friends, etc... But I did think it helps us adults understand a little more about what is going on inside a teenagers head. Especially the beautiful song "A Little More Homework." |

'13' is a 10++++++++ Review by: Mary, Dec 30, 2008 |
| I took my nieces to see 13 yesterday, and the worst part is that it's closing soon! The play is very well done and entertaining for adults and adolescents alike! The music is clever and memorable, the story line takes on the issues of kids today, and the acting/dancing/singing wonderful -- shockingly so with such a young cast! At the performance we attended, the CD's were sold-out, so we ran to Virgin Records, and bought 3 CD's there. My ... read more nieces sang in the car all the way home. The theme of the play was fabulous for kids today, and I'm sad that it's closing this week as I would have run to book tickets for a school group! I hope this is not really the end! |

Cute and Enjoyable Review by: , Nov 27, 2008 |
| I saw the broadway musical 13 yesterday. I am a huge broadway fan and i see shows very very often. I see different genres and my latest shows include jersey boys, grease, mama mia, the little mermaid, the lion king, legally blonde, wicked etc. but ive seen a good 40 shows in the last 10 years. Anyways, the show 13. The cast was cute and talented. The dancing was good as well was the singing. However, I felt it was a very very well done high ... read more school production. Did i enjoy it? Yes! The humor was great, making fun of teens with very current jokes. The music was good and there were some very funny moments in the show.If this is ur first broadway show, i feel u would not get to experience a true broadway show, more of an off broadway show, but if you are looking for a nice night out i would recommend the show |

Fantastic and Unexpected! Review by: AL1969, Nov 22, 2008 |
| I had free tickets, and wasn't expecting much. Boy, was I wrong! What an absolute surprise! Funny, great music, lots of energy. I found myself laughing throughout most of the play. Don't miss this show, and don't think that just because the show is about teenagers, and made up of a teenage cast, that you won't have a great time. You truly will! |

Senoir Citizen loved the show Review by: Grandma, Nov 15, 2008 |
| I am a senior citizen. I saw the show on October 18th. It was really an eye opener for me. I never expected the kids to be so talented. This show is good for all ages. It does not sugar coat real life type incidents but it also has stayed away from curses. |

Thirteen is a HIT!!!!!!! Review by: Dani, Oct 26, 2008 |
| THis show was absolutely adorable, and I would recommend it for anyone, especially a family with young teens. Jason Robert brown has yet another hit on his hands, and I'm confident that this show will survive this tough economic period that's causing so many shows to close. All the actors are extremely talented, and I'm sure they will all go great places after their time in this show! |
