Audra McDonald makes this a very lovely experience indeed. The woman is
a real sweetheart. The show is old fashioned good fun and the director pulls out of it
every bit of its original charm. |

| The show was all right. The singing was amazing, but the songs were all similar and easy-to-forget. The plot seemed underdeveloped and inconclusive. Although the actors were good, the musical did not do their talent justice. Nice try, 110 in the Shade, but you seemed like an overly-corny, wannabe "Oklahoma!" |

| Another wondrous performance by Audra McDonald. I had forgotten that she is a great actress as well as a great singer. The supporting cast is fine as well, expecially John Cullum. This show is heart felt, sincere, maybe corny, but worth your time. McDonald is one of our theatre greats. Did I say great before? I've seen Helen Hayes, Carol Channing, Laurence Olivier-The Entertainer, Mary Martin, Ethel Merman, Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Angela ... read more Lansbury on stage. Now we have Audra McDonald.
