| We were there in July for one of the shuttles. It was a great experience! It can get cancelled last minute, so you need to have patience. It took us 4 trips there before we seen it. Give the Kennedy Space Center an entire day. There is alot to see and learn about. Not a trip you want to rush through. And you can see the shuttle go up from the space center. For an extra fee you can go out on a bus and they bring you much closer. But the pride and ... read more American Spirit, it brought tears to our eyes. Remember all this is done with money they make for their experiments. This is not government funded. So no need to harrase anyone about our tax money. |

Words cannot describe the pride I felt after visiting the Kennedy space Center, since it sent me back to a time when I felt America was invincible, when anything was possible. We thought that the future was coming so fast...but we are still waiting for a moon base, and things haven't gone exactly according to plan. But when you visit today you can see what ingenuity has acheived, agianst tough technological odds.
They said we couldn;t do it, ... read more but we did, and are continuing to develop our space "feelers" and the space Center is the perfect spot to find inspiration. Don't miss it!
(Though it is a bit of a side trip if you are stayin in orlando proper - it is definitely worth it!) |
