Something to do, that's it. Review by: francodt00, Jul 24, 2009 |
| I don't know if the Tropicana brought this guy in or he bought out the theater in a "four-wall" agreement, but the show was pretty lousy, plain at best. I'm surprised the Tropicana, with its Havana-esque mystique, kept its showroom open to a blase act. I would have been very upset had I paid full price. My kids even said the show was boring. |

Disappointing and boring, NOT a family show Review by: riverboy, Feb 7, 2009 |
I like to think myself as being open minded and quite easily entertained but this show left me wanting to walk away after the first 20 minutes. The first few minutes of the show was a troup of dancers who looked bored and the choreography was lacking, I was surprised to see in what is deemed a family show a lap dancing esque routine with a female basically dressing down to very little. The host himself seemed so so cheesy to the point of ... read more being smug, I had never heard of Dirk Arthur outside of Vega$ but he came across like the big I'm Mr Famous! The "plants" in the audience were so obvious and again this made for unpleasant viewing. 15 minutes of the show comprise of a video showing Mr Arthur's conservation efforts and whilst i applaud this i think for a 60 minute show to have a VT of this length is a bit of a cheek. The "Magic" element of the show was visually entertaining but seemed to come across as low budget and amateurish. Overall the show was disappointing and quite quite boring, If we had not been sat in an area where we would have had to disturb others we would have left after 20 minutes. The only thing that mildly amused me is the promotional material for the show...The pictures of Dirk Arthur are either 20 years old or heavily heavily airbrushed.

Great MAGIC show, would go anytime. LOVED IT!!! Review by: Yvonne, Aug 26, 2007 |
| We just went to see this show, because it was such a good deal. Did dot expect anything, but were pleasantly surprised. It was realy GREAT. I was not bored for a second. The movie in the beginning was very entertaining. It shows you the interaction between Dirk and the animals. He is wonderful. The magic was great. I was glued to my seat and so was my 7 year old. I think it is light and entertaining for all ages and can highly recommend it.... read more. You get what you paid for. It was not a great extravagant show like the top shows. I LOVED it would highly recommend it. Came out of there and even bought the video.. |

Good for very young children, else skip it! Review by: stacy, Jun 13, 2007 |
| This show is geared for very young children. They show a movie (from animal planet) for 10 min. The magic is boring he has alot of time where his girls just dance on stage. One trick he did was change colors on a scarf (bought at Target) from green to red. He didnt have much personality and no good jokes were told. My 12 year old thought it was OK and the rest of us (16yrs, 23 yrs, and adults) did not like the show. |
