Worst show Review by: TravelGirl, Feb 3, 2007 |
| The worst show we have ever seen, and a royal disappointment. I was "entertainment chairman" for my two sisters, brother, and spouses, and thought the show would be fun. We all hated it---the acting was terrible, the food was awful. It has been two years, and I still haven't lived it down---they still give me a bad time for the choice. Anyone who thinks it is fun obviously hasn't been to a real Italian wedding! |

The show is a non-event and the food is terrible. Review by: JAD, Jan 20, 2007 |
| I wholly agree with Suzie Q’s comments about the staging of the show, the poor acoustics and the grossly sub-standard acting. The show was a major disappointment for us, and we’re a pretty forgiving couple. I am amazed that the Rio management even permits a show of this low a professional level to be held on their property. I have seen much better acting in high school plays and musicals. I will disagree with Suzie Q on one point. The ... read more food was not mediocre. It was simply bad. In fact, it now holds the unenviable title of being the worst buffet that I have ever experienced. It brought back stomach-turning memories of “mystery meat day” in the college dining hall. Actually, the only bright spot of the evening was the band “Fusion”. We would have really enjoyed the show if all we did were to have a reasonably edible buffet, to listen and dance to the band and let the actors take the night off. We also paid $87 each for our tickets, not something that I am proud to admit. If you must go to see this show, then wait until the morning of the show and see if you can pick up half price tickets at one of the discount ticket locations on the strip and downtown. But, here again, I must disagree with Suzie. The show is not worth even $30-40 a person. I think it may be destined to become the mainstay of those free shows that are palmed off on you by that army of people in Vegas who are trying to get you to buy property or a condo. |

Don't waste your time and money! Review by: Suzie Q., Jan 13, 2007 |
We saw this show in Las Vegas at the Rio and it was the worst we have ever seen in this town. It was chaotic, the actors were bland, the food was mediocre, and the cash bar and pictures were expensive.
Since the actors did not have microphones, you couldn't tell what was going on. Many people left early.
We paid $87 for tickets; at best, this show is $30-40, otherwise, don't waste your time and money. It's not for families,... read more, either, since the actors are bawdy. We were invited to a strip club on Industrial Road called Animal Kingdom, where some of these "actors" work. It should be called Tony N' Tina's Fiasco that will not make you laugh. |

Poor actors ruin a nice concept Review by: KK, Jan 8, 2007 |
We saw Tony N' Tina's Wedding in Vegas last week. What a waste! I was intrigued by the concept but found out rather quickly that most of the actors were plain bad. That they had a set of lines that they gave to audience members now and then. However, the main characters, (the groom ond his father) showed limited skills of interaction with the audience beyond their rehearsed plot. And man, this plot was not funny. Yes, it was dysfunctional.... read more. We had this pretty funny lady in our table who was trying to get some conversation going with the groom and he pretty much shut her up.
Some guest were ocassionally asked to come and dance. Like, the young girl in our table who was asked on pretty much every time there was dancing. Not the others. If you are a young girl and like being felt up by an old fat guy, this may be a fun show. We left feeling that the actors played the show for themself and made fun at the expense of audience members. |
