Beautiful, romantic, humorous, brilliant. Barry Manilow is in a class by himself. There is no one like him and this show reflects the enormous talent that he has bee blessed with |

INSANE ENTHUSIASM begot by 3rd RATE LOUNGE SINGER! Review by: RALPHIE, Sep 15, 2007 |
BARRY MANILOW was the strangest show ever! The show itself was pretty much as expected --- a 3rd rate lounge singer going joyfully through his litany of songs. NO, it was the audience. They just went NUTS! I mean literally INSANE. Going into wild, inrestrained fits of applause, shouts, stomps --- with every sound and movement Manilow made. He'd raise his hand, wave, speak and a roomful of mostly middle-aged and senoir aged audience members ... read more went CRAZY!
Anyway, common sense tells me that if it was the most energized audience I've seen in 60 years, MANILOW must be doing something right. Ticket prices are in the stratosphere at $88 to $175. I saw it free and thought it was worth my 90 minutes, if not my money. |
