The Merry Widow plays at London Coliseum

Lehar's comic tale of the recently widowed, extremely rich and very glamorous Hanna Glawari is one of the world's best-loved operettas. Making her debut in the title role is the Olivier Award-winning soprano Amanda Roocroft, while the leading young tenor Alfie Boe sings Camille de Rosillon. They are joined by Roy Hudd as Njegus and the inimitable Richard Suart as Baron Zeta. The renowned opera and theatre director, John Copley, whose work has been seen at the Royal Opera House, Metropolitan Opera, New York and Lyric Opera of Chicago amongst others, returns to ENO to direct this new staging with costumes by Deidre Clancy and choreography by Anthony Van Laast and Nichola Treherne. Oliver von Dohnanyi conducts the ENO Orchestra and Chorus.
