This month, New York theatre fans are jealous of Chicago theatre audiences because Broadway's luminous Kate Baldwin is starring in the Windy City as Anna in the Lyric Opera's The King and I, and we don't get to see what is surely a magnificent performance.
However, thanks to the internet and Chicago's WTTW TV, we get two musical numbers sung in Baldwin's rich, layered voice. First up is "Hello Young Lovers" and then "Getting To Know You" begins around the 4:15 mark in the second video.
