Five Broadway Shows Opening In Spring 2016 To Be Uber-Excit…

So we’ve spent a good amount of time looking back on 2015 (guilty as charged), but now let's look ahead to the exciting spring season and the top five plays and musicals you really want to check out in 2016.

Everyone who saw the MTC off-Broadway production or the West End production can't stop talking about how amazing this drama is. It's about a reunion between an older man and the much younger woman he had a sexual relationship with back in the day, and now with Jeff Daniels and Michelle Williams it's sure to be one of spring's biggest hits.
Previews begin February 5 at the Belasco Theatre

Seeing this off-Broadway was an absolute blast—ridiculous story, tons of jokes, and all of disco's most beloved hits—but the Broadway transfer is too-good-to-be-true. It's as if they went to Marie's Crisis and asked all the biggest B'way nerds what stars they want to see back on Broadway together in a campy '70s musical...and then cast them.
Previews begin February 9 at the Nederlander Theatre

She Loves Me

SHe Loves Me- Roundabout- Benanti- Krakowski- Zachary Levi- Gavin Creel

Another theatre geek's dream come true is RTC's revival of She Loves Me: Laura Benanti singing "Vanilla Ice Cream", Zachary Levi being charming as all get out, Gavin Creel as your sleazy but sexy office crush, and Jane Krakowski doing what Jane does best—stealing the show.
Previews begin February 5 at Studio 54

Shuffle Along

A major player at this year's Tony Awards is going to be Shuffle Along Or The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed; it's half a Shuffle Along revival and half a new musical about the making of the original Shuffle Along, and it features many of the greatest African American artists working on Broadway today.
Previews begin March 15 at the Music Box Theatre

Waitress

That stunning Sara Bareilles score and the beautiful performance by Jessie Mueller make Waitress a must-see for theatre fans. Grab your mom and your best girlfriends and get ready to live your fullest life.
Previews begin March 25 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre
