Musical theatre fans, we have the YouTube Spiral for you. Grab your dance shoes, a fedora and meet James Kinney.

James Kinney is an extraordinary director, choreographer and Broadway vet having appeared in both the Broadway and National Touring companies of Fosse and the second Broadway revival of Sweet Charity. His choreography has been danced at Lincoln Center, The Hollywood Bowl, The Old Globe and regional theatres across the country. James' name might have caught your eye in recent weeks with the thrilling "That's It" video featuring Jessica Lee Goldyn, Alex Nordin, Caleb Marshall-Villareal, Tommy Sutter and Nicolas de la Vega. We may or may not have watched this five plus times. Spoiler alert, we did.

James has this brilliance in his choreography where he so beautifully and precisely choreographs so his dancers completely embody the music. When you watch these forthcoming clips, aside from spotting a great number of Broadway's most talented dancers, keep an eye on the magnificent times he choreographs right down to the smallest piece of percussion. It is a delight to watch. James is currently teaching virtual Advanced Pro Theatre Dance classes at Steps on Broadway Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Here's another clip of "That's It" star Jessica Lee Goldyn dancing some awe-inspiring Kinney choreography.

We're keeping an eye out for his upcoming short film with Pierre Marais, his videographer for "That's It" entitled Anymore starring Broadway mainstays Yesenia Ayala (West Side Story) and Ryan Steele (Newsies, An American in Paris Tour) which is due out soon. Be sure to give James a follow on Instagram for updates!
