Each day, the Bbox team trolls YouTube for the hot clip—sometimes it's a brand-new moment and sometimes it's a throwback to an oldie but goodie. No matter what praise hands are shot up, pearls are clutched and the repeat button is hit.

James Corden's Electrifying 2019 Tony Awards Opening Number Salutes The Magic Of Live Broadway (2019 Tony Awards)

Ulterior Motives: The 2020 Primetime Emmy Awards were announced yesterday and included in the nominees for Outstanding Variety Special (Live) were last year's Tony Awards celebrating the best and brightest of Broadway. The June 9, 2019 broadcast was hosted by beloved late night host and Tony winning Broadway vet, James Corden. Shows with performances in the broadcast included Ain't Too Proud, Beetlejuice, The Cher Show, Oklahoma!, The Prom and the night's big winner Hadestown.

Ultimate 🙌 🙌 moment: We sure do miss live theatre and the awards' opening number was truly a love letter to the thrilling experience. The entire number is marvelous but there's a special kind of magic at the reveal at 1:19. We're not getting teary-eyed, you're getting teary-eyed! At 7:46, James' lyric describes the special live theatre experience so perfectly reminiscing about seeing actors on stage.
