Hot Clip of the Day: August 6th Must Be One Of Leslie Odom,…

Each day, the Bbox team trolls YouTube for the hot clip—sometimes it's a brand-new moment and sometimes it's a throwback to an oldie but goodie. No matter what praise hands are shot up, pearls are clutched and the repeat button is hit.

"The Room Where It Happens" from Hamilton (Leslie Odom, Jr.)

Ulterior Motives: Bit of a day for Leslie Odom, Jr each August 6th! Not only is it the anniversary of the day that Hamilton took its opening night bow, it also happens to be Leslie's birthday! He appeared on Broadway in Leap of Faith and Rent prior to Hamilton and made a smash as Sam on NBC's Smash. A visit to his IMDB page will detail the variety of roles Leslie has played on television and film including a recent Primetime Emmy nod for his Character Voice-Over Performance in Central Park.

Ultimate 🙌 🙌 moment: Leslie performed his Act 2 Hamilton showstopper at the Time Warner Center back in 2016 a few months after his run in the show. There is such magic to his performance of this number (and we love seeing him perform all of the roles)! Leslie has such effortless musicality. Our favorite moment is at 1:47 where he plays Burr and Jefferson with such ease. Honorable mention goes to 2:35 when the audience steps in for the show's ensemble
